You said Oyedepo brought the oil and it has been hijacked. That it's like the ark. When David came into power, the first thing he did was to return the ark. But your counsel is to drop the oil. The fact that something has been adulterated does not mean that the original should be thrown away. You can counsel for the original intent of the oil to be restored, to me that is balance. Let people see that's it's only a token.
The devil is really playing fastrack on pastors criticising themselves in an act to elevate his pride's nature. If these pastors should look away from the really deeped sinners then the main focus of salvation would be shifted. I pray God's mercy should abound...
Paul rebuked wrong doctrine and he also said, ot must be exposed. He encouraged Timothy to REBUKE. He said Timothy rebuke, exhort, teach etc. They all go together.

Paul taught Timothy, REBUKE, teach, exhort. REBUKE! REBUKE! REBUKE!. People must be made aware of false doctrine. Paul said false doctrine must be exposed. Messiah also warned his disciples to be aware of wolves in sheep's clothing. People has been led astray cause those who knew the truth did not show them errors and expose and them false doctrine. That's why the movement of false doctrines and cults grew exponentially. Lack of knowledge make us perish. We have to know the schemes and whiles of the devil as he has infiltrated the blind church. False teachers are very sly, smooth, clever in manipulating the Scripture that new convert can't quickly discern but those who have grown in the Spirit should show them the blind spots. They are supposed to lift the weak in faith and expose lies of the devil to help them grow in knowledge of the TRUTH. Separate truth from error, how is that going to be done if error is not pointed out?
