"maybe we can win this" is when you're done being scared... Or saving somebody in multiplayer with convoluted plan that does not work out exactly at the worst moment but you still survive.
I once had a run with my friend, I had an M16 and a fire axe, he had a shotgun and spiked bat, he was stuck in a building (not windows and horde knocking on the door of the building) so I came to help, there was nearly a hundred or a hundred and a half. We threw everything we had at em, screaming out of excitement in our discord call, about 300 bullets later they were dead, and that song was playing. It’s now very nostalgic to me
That's the song when I'm the slayer, not the zombies. I go down if they bring a thousand at me at the same time, because I refuse to go down so long as I can stand. Bonus points if I was already bitten.
was playing a sprinters run, hadn't separated from my partner in crime for the entire run, but we had finally set up camp at the logging company so we were comfortable enough to do solo loot runs. On the FIRST run, he crashes his car into a tree and gets swarmed outside the logging co. He's screaming over discord that he's not bit yet but theyre all around him and he's dead meat. I jumped in a truck as fast as I could and went 100mph straight to him, ended up way overshooting it and flying right past him. Our cars nearly went head on into each other, it was a pixel difference. Flew straight over half the zombies attacking him, flattening them immediately, and he was able to escape. It was the closest shit ever, we could have both been dead if I'd hit him
@@Yourlocalwordrobe these are not bad, just the worst compared to any other (but after some time of actually playing the game, they obtain a sentimental value)
The 4:10 when he shoots the bullets matches perfectly with the song. (Maybe We Can Win This) EDIT: Oh hey no way! We got almost 800 likes! Thanks guys.
i swear while fighting/running from zombies with the song "Maybe We Can Win This" i can literally feel the apocalyptic survivor adrenaline coming inside of me
I once turned off the music by accident and was scared for my life for like 15 minutes until I've started really wondering why is there no music and found out that it shared the same button with the circle menu for cars. Not too long after I still died because a horde overrun me while I was trying to get in my car. Oh well, at least I had my music on...
"maybe we can win this" gives off the same feel of telling your group of survivors about to face the undead horde to retake the city of your new life, "Come on you son of bitches! Don't you wanna live forever?!"
The reaction in death is on par, especially after spending a good amount of time barricading your base, getting the things you need and then getting absolutely dunked on by 4 zombies because you had a lame leg
I think Project Zomboid is the only game which gives me anxiety just by listening to the title screen music. You just get that deep feeling of "ah fuck, not again" haha
3:40 never in any game I had gone over 500 kills per run. That day, like 14th day if the run got too close to Louisville hospital. +2300 kills and counting. Still alive
I have had moments where I was cornered and maybe we can win this comes on and all of a sudden I'm playing 100 times better, the soundtrack to this game is great fr.
Maybe We Can Win This really makes me think of when me and friends were in a huge bind. We had rushed to the aid of one friend who had said he got into a bit of a situation (his car had stalled out and wouldn't turn back on while on the highway and a horde was closing in). As we reached there, shit hit the fan. And the thought process was that of just.. "I won't let this end how this is." I was completely and utterly exhausted to the point I couldn't even jog, and my shotgun and handgun were empty. I had forgot to take out enough shotgun shells from my truck, and I had used all my magazines. The friend we rushed to was dead. He had gotten swarmed, but we were barely too late. And the other had taken a bite and barely avoided fully getting mauled, but I had stunned them for enough he could move, and then I took the attention. He saw me slowly walking the horde away and took the chance to rest and load his gun. And then I died to a fever I got from my character getting two scratches while foraging through the woods, and then auto-eating poisonous mushrooms while I limped back (groin wound) to get a bandage from the house. (I take anemic and self destructive so I was at half health due to depression and, well, anemic + not having two bandages = bleeding = low health). Zomboid is such a good game, I wasn't even mad about that death. It was a bit annoying but honestly really funny.
the absolute moment of horror when you are walking out in the fields at night and one of the panic/fight soundtracks starts playing and you dont know where the fuck its coming from
I just wanna tell a story here. we were gonna raid the rosewood military base or whatever its called ( i forgor but not the police department ) and about 1/4 of they way there our car got pinned by a tree and a horde of zombies i quickly asked my friend '' Do we bail ? '' and he simply got out so i did the same upon him exiting he was immediattly pinned and dragged down and me a character with max strength and like 5 fitness managed to scuttle his way out all the while '' maybe we can win this '' played it was 1 vs 50 i stood my ground with a BB machine pistol that i found ( we were running mods ) and i unloaded into the horde while i did kill a lot of them i still had to make a run for it i went across the road and into the field and at the halfway point , the beat dropped and i simply said this in my mind '' F#ck this , f@#k my skills i aint a p#ssy ! '' and charged head in with my fire axe i proceeded to spend half an hour clearing out the entire horde i chopped through 1 axe and half of the condition of the other one and gained 1 in axe skills and 1 in maintenance At that point i simply walked my way to the safe house where i again slaughtered another horde when i came back my friend was there i told him the story of my fresh hell all the while we were planning our rescue mission and to grab the car Either way the adrenaline rush that music enduces is beyond insane. after that we successfully reached our destination before calling it a night. all of this happened in the same day as of writing this comment i barely have 30 hours in the game and my god is it fun

@penileymajorey7174Wowie wowza smartypants, thank you for correcting an extremely minor mistake that absolutely would have gone over everyone's heads if not for the fact you pointed it out.
yeo the death one is pretty spot on. always, theres the immediate disbelief while you stare at the screen just doing nothing, but THEN you feel like shit.
I remember playing normally, hearing overrun, stop whatever i was doing and run to a ramdom direccion.literally my brain couldnt process the info and got ultra scared. Even when nobody was following me
Bro last time me and bro played PZ he got into THE MALL without letting me know, and got in a bad situation so i drove as fast as i could and he was sitting in a room, barricaded. So I shot my rifle a couple of times and killed like 3 hordes and he barely made it but we escaped atlast. "maybe we can win this" was playing xd
My best character died because of my ambition: I based at West Point and armed myself well, had a good armoury and a safe base, but I wanted blood... I went out and spent my shells on killing West Point's population, I ran out of shells so I decided to go on a looting run to LV, I made an outpost southeast of the city and went on a looting run. It went well: I looted every gunstore in the city and I already had enough shells to clear West Point, but I wanted more. So I went to the mall gun store and initially tried being sneaky but more and more of them poured in and I couldnt keep up, so I left. I knew I had limited time because my outpost had no generator and no water collectors so I had to hurry up, it took me around 5 days to get to the gun store, I couldnt loot it yet because it was getting late so I left. Next day I came back and my car's condition was becoming very bad because of the zeds on the road so I decided to kill em(melee, of course) but one slight concentration gap and I got lacerated in my hand so i couldnt go melee, I didnt stock up on ammo so I had around 100 shells. I shot hoping there wouldnt be much but I was soon overrun. I tried running away but my car gave up on me, I shot myself as they tried to break in the car.
0:32 XD I remember watching this moment on World’s Dumbest! I thought it’d be forgotten forever after! (For those who don’t know, these two fools were robbing sheep from farmers via this method. Seems obvious, right? Well, they were caught and arrested. What was the punishment for their crime? They were forced to *reenact their crimes on camera, to educate farmers on how they were doing it.* xD hence the video.)
i remember i got bugged riding a car, and another car appeared below me. i was surrounded by zombies and my friend was killing them. the car got WRECKED. i got out not a single bit of damage done, i went to get food and i got bit in the neck by a zombie in a dark bathroom
The beste thing is that this themes always play when in the right time, Most of the game, when you are looting a house, you are in the middle of the forest, when there is nothing happening, They never play itself, It knows when to play in the exact and perfect time, They are not that intense like to Doom level but they are good enough and fit so well with the atmosphere that the game wants to give you, "Death" is exactly what it is a defeat song, "The horde" is basically a warning of the game saying you "If you get detected, you are dead", "maybe we can win this" give that feeling of hope, when you are sorrounded and you find a last magazine for your pistol or you start fighting back the horde that is following you, Its just a perfect soundtrack that fits every moment it appears.
I was playing with my friends, one got mad at the other and killed him with a gun, then riling up every zombie in the area. Overrun started playing, showing our fate
Or like me you mod in silent hill music and go from "how tranquil" to "i have violently shat my pants and fired every shot i have, i am down to a knife against 200 zekes... maybe i will taste bad after a lick and they eont eat me"
I've once entered the grand ohio mall, first i was nervous if i shall lost my 1 month character but i did it anyway. I set it on low population and on god their size are terrifying. I quickly ran back to my humvee but "Maybe we can win this" starts playing, no choice left but i cleared the whole mall with a tomahawk and a taiga machete. In the end i got a pkm from the mall and quickly snatched away, not returning ever again
