I can't get over the fact that the Octarian army motif is called "Onwards!" and that the credit song is called "onward"... Marina and Acht are reclaiming their past and moving forward...
The two titles can hold their own meaning. "#47 onward" would represent have the singers themselves and/or octolings are moving onwards, especially away from the past since the "onwards" octarian motif isn't present. "#47 slumber" might represent the slumber-like trance the singers and/or octolings were in the past. Idk.
They were never in a trance like slumber tho. I would interpret it more like putting their past to rest as they look toward a brighter future @GIOtotheVANNI
Short Order is like my favorite song in the OST.. it just makes climbing the tower so much more exciting for me since I’ll get it hear it at the top (and talk to smollusk) :D
to me 47 onward sounds more uplifting than. kinda like "life sucked we had to go through a lot but even then we made it together and formed amazing bonds. even if it's sad that our journey ended, we're glad to be settled now and hopefully even greater stuff will come !!" it's an amazing ost for splatoon 3's last story mode and a really nice conclusion to Marina and Acht's story 🥺
I really like how the ost of this series sounds like it's from a distant future. It's just something unlike any music you listen to. To be fair it isn't really my taste i like maybe 3 tracks in the entire series but yeah it's good just nothing you'd listen to without playing the game.
