Friends, after a long month in Rome, my fellow synod delegates and I have all returned home. There is a lot to reflect upon as we prepare for next year. In his closing homily, Pope Francis encouraged us to spend time in Adoration and to listen to the Holy Spirit. I will do just that, and encourage you all to do the same.

While the Synod may sound troubling at first, when we trust in God's plan and the Holy Spirit, we are assured that we will journey through all trials safely. We know that God is in control and will allow the Church to minister to all in need of Mercy. Bishop Barron is a great witness to this. Keep teaching us to trust in God's plans.

All can be baptized always been that way. I believe the synod will be putting together an easy to read version of what was actually reviewed. Personally I think it helped the bishops to experience the Holy Spirit together. I absolutely trust and love our Pope he is amazing.

@JJ-hx8eo And not only the Bishops (as in a Council), but also the laicity that participated in it.

Bishop Barron is a living proof that he is being led by the Holy Spirit to preach the Gospel and explain the Catechism, which is essentially the teachings of the Church. A synod or council would only be effective if every participant is inspired by the Holy Spirit to act according to the will of God. But there'll be a big problem if the synod includes lay people with different idealogiies and agendas, or even members of freemason who want to have bad influence on the future direction that leads to confusion or even chaos. I happened to be at Vatican last month after a cruise trip. I was reminded of Jesus' words, "You are Peter, on this rock I'll build my Church" when I visited St. Peter's Square where Peter became a martyr. The rock represents the foundation of the Apostolic Church as well as the faith and the doctrines of the Church. I prayed during the whole month for the Pope and the participants of the Synod, that they may be guided by the Holy Spirit to properly lead the flock of the sheep amid the current state of the world.

@ccl201 Pope Francis knows what he is doing. If you have really followed with the Synod, the "big problem" you present is unwarranted. The "confusion and chaos" is done by the social media and by certain individuals with schismatic tendencies.

Bishop Barron. Congratulation!!! I pray that all synod delegates were successful in achieving their own goals and are rooted in the Holy Spirit. I saw the entire Church has been called to discern how the Spirit is moving through with the Body of Christ. I imagine the high mass was wonderful. There wasn't a need for any political debate in the synod assemblies because it was commonly in prayers to recognize the action of the Holy Spirit in the Church and the world. The protagonist's language comes from the holy spirit to free us from enslavement relation, fright, and isolation. God gives us the grace to experience the fullness of life and love. May God Continue to bless you and guide you to fulfill our mission to evangelize throughout the world. Congratulations! St. Ignatius of Loyola, pray for us. Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us. Jesus, I trust in You. Cecilia Dreger and family🙏🏾 be strong (Bishop Thomas Daly and Father Raj).

@@michellepriore5610 Here comes some "commentology" for you only. I didn't comment to everyone (as you inferred), and I gave some thumb-ups, and one thumb-down. I only made 5 comments around (you missed one), and the first one here was actually my very first one, 20 hours ago, as the time at the top shows. I can't see it has a rude tone, btw, and the "lols" are just ironical and in good spirit. You might have never seen really rude and nasty comments by trolls who only look for bickering and scoffing and to disrupt a conversation. Also, I always reply to the person in question, in context both to the video and the content of their comment, calling a spade a spade, and waiting to see the reaction of the person. (Many just make a comment on the first thing it strikes their mind and disappear.) When I click reply and the @name doesn't appear neither in gray, nor as hyperlink in blue, I copy it and put it at the top of my comment. Why, would you ask? Because there often are cases that have a long list of sub-comments without the mentioned @name, and it becomes quite impossible to know who is replying to whom and about what. (One example in my other replies, when I had to ask again.) Often those who comment only see the main comment topic and the very last one, or maybe they click reply to someone when their @name doesn't get tagged. in either cases that comment always becomes the last one of the series. (It's not like FB where each successive comment has its own sub-comments section) I have not seen any single comments by you alone, except for those four you have been "stalking me" with! Lol (irony again). Don't worry, you say nice things and make good points after all, though you missed the intentions of my comments: the use of correct terms and words and consistent concepts that won't contradict what one will convey. The answers reveal where the commenter is coming from. One cannot know by only one comment. However, like I wrote first here in reply to @constanceyeo199, (she never responded), the Ecclesiastical title to the bishops is His Excellency, while His Holiness is reserved only for the Pope. And it matters! Lol again! And also this one here is not a "sermon", it's a reflection of Bishop Barron's tour to Rome. (It's also important to distinguish between a form of speech from another one. Did you happen to listen to the interview with John Allen that was posted before this video? It has a lot of strange and ambiguous comments. Finally, and I'll go: did you notice that the guy I responded to above left the scene? I guess you didn't catch what he replied me, so you don't know. Pax Christi

What must not be done is to say that which is sinful is not sinful. That would lead the faithful to accept sin or worse, be sinful.
@jenniferabel2811
@jenniferabel2811 6 месяцев назад
"By this they will know you are my disciples, if you love one another." I think I finally get it. The reason you Christians go running around obsessing about other people's sins, and collecting your stones, is because this one simple thing that Jesus told you to do is actually too hard for you. You cannot bear to love your fellow man, which is the one thing that God told you to do.
@BensWorkshop
@BensWorkshop 6 месяцев назад
@@jenniferabel2811 I don't think you get it at all. Lying to people is not an act of love.
@jenniferabel2811
@jenniferabel2811 6 месяцев назад
@@BensWorkshop Maybe! I admit, I am merely guessing that you disagree with someone's interpretation of the Bible. Christians are always disagreeing with interpretations and then pointing fingers at each other and sending each other to hell. I thought Jesus said, "Love one another. Stop judging one another. Forgive each other." God came to earth, and we killed him. Why? Because we judged him and said he was a sinner. He was working some miracles on the Sabbath, and so forth, and they said he was a liar and leading the faithful to accept sin.
@BensWorkshop
@BensWorkshop 6 месяцев назад
@@jenniferabel2811 When jesus said "let he who is without sin cast the first stone", he followed it by telling the prostitute to sin no more. He didn't say it was not a sin. So my original point stands. Do not tell people what is sinful is not sinful. That would be a grave error and sin. The Catholic church is big on forgiving sin and accepting sinners. In fact the church is full of sinners.
@therealong
@therealong 6 месяцев назад
@@jenniferabel2811 Simple but very good reply! LOVE, as Agape-Love, and Charity, in 1 Cor.13. You could have added though what Jesus said immediately before: "As I have loved you.", and that is was "a new commandment" He was giving them. Although it was to be found in the Old Testament as well, as "loving your neighbor as yourself", Jesus extended this Love to embrace all men, even enemies, in other passages of the Gospels.

Can someone please help us understand the recent announcement about baptizing transgender people? We want to understand. My protestant friends are asking me and I don't know how to respond. Trans people are souls that need the sanctifying grace of Baptism just like the rest of us and I wouldn't want to deny that to anyone. But I also don't know how to make sense of the fact that if they are transgender can they really be open to receive the sanctifying grace if they are living as though God made a mistake in their formation. Thank you in advance.

@therealong

@@EcstaticTemporality You are also criticizing, without defining why. My critique is self-explanatory only in relation to the context, and to the comment of the first poster of this thread, who is expressing an oxymoron. He dodged and refused to explain the reasons behind his rejection (of the second term), nor the purpose of posting it, justifying the whole with his naive response. So, actually, I don't really have to "define" anything for you if you don't comprehend what I wrote, in the right context; he has! So you should have addressed him, not me, or commented something else, always in relation to the context. However, let me be clear first that I consider a comment by its expressing content, and successive new replies in relation to all previous comments. (Although I have already explained this in length to the person before you, (who accused me of being rude and nasty), in another comment here.) This is a Catholic site, yes?, and Bishop Barron is very prolific voice of the Catholic Faith in all its aspects, yes?. I can't really know your background and intentions so I have to suppose. You have jumped in with a picture of the philosopher Martin Heidegger, and a nickname reflecting his theories of "being and time", which gives the impression that you promote his existentialism, not the Catholic faith. Bishop Barron at least has other videos discussing Christian existentialism in philosophical terms. Why don't you listen to these? I can't even know if you're a Catholic, or interested in Catholicism, or even an atheist, or if you have heard of "The Synod of Synodality". Even Bishop Barron has a specific video explaining what it is. You ask me to explain to you what is the purpose of my criticizing? Well, I already told you. What is your point?
