for Can't You See Me?, I'm honestly obsessed with the music video 'cause it's one of those types of music videos where there's a lot happening under the surface. Like, Taehyun (red hair) and Soobin (purple hair) don't seem like they're getting along in it, something weird's happening with Beomgyu (black hair, the one who keeps looking into the camera and the lighting goes that eerie red), Kai (other black hair, yellow shirt) seems oblivious to the conflict, Yeonjun (edit: yellow hair) accidentally leaves the oven on and the house catches fire and he has "blood" on his hands. The song is initially upbeat but then it has darker, disturbing moments and so does the music video--initially it seems like friends just hanging out, but then you realize there's underlying conflict that no one is addressing and the tension keeps building until it snaps. Someone is a "liar" according to the lyrics--and according to the choreo, the liars are Taehyun and Soobin, because they're the only two who cross their fingers behind their back during that line while the others make a "pinky swear" sign. A lot of TXT's older songs dealt with friendship, and Can't You See Me? is lyrically a parallel and a response to their earlier song Nap of a Star! Nap of a Star is about telling someone that you always want to be with them, that you believe in them and you truly see them, truly feel them and understand them. Can't You See Me? is about the fracturing of a friendship, someone feeling like their friends no longer understand them, I'm alone now, tell me you believe me like you said before, come and feel me, my voice is calling out to you, can't you see me?? It's absolutely a chaotic music video but I think the song is deceptively "sweet" sounding when it's honestly quite devastating and too relatable

TXT are very well established! Their last 2 albums went #1 and #3 (only behind bad bunny and drake) on the billboard charts. In South Korea 4th gen boy groups don't chart very well, but TXT have done well on the charts compared to other groups. They were also the first boygroup to perform at Lollapalooza in 2022 and then they headlined in 2023.

They also performed at the Lollapalooza 2022.Their last album, Name Chapter:Temptation ranked Top1 in the Billboards 200 for weeks and their latest album, Name Chapter:Freefall ranked 3rd. If you watch the Guide by Beomie Bear she highlights some of their achievements, but that vid is more abt the members themselves, who are so chaotic and funny off stage.

If you dive a little bit more on all TXT's music videos and do some research on the theories, you will get amazed by how well the concepts are. I know TXT's videos in old eras seem to be confusing, but trust me It worths your time to know about the stories behind.

The first music video is heavily involved in their lore ahah, but it also has is its own mini storyline, that's why a lot of people who love theorising and picking apart mv's love watching them. It's the kind of music video you watch 2 times to absorb both the storyline and the music.

Gotta say tho friends yall kinda got some whack recommendations for your intro to TXT😅 I'd say when you do p2, the like best ones would be Crown, their debut, Run Away, it's a lot of people's favorite song, I Know I Love is like Lo$er=Lover, but WAAAAY better imo, and then I'd add Back For More or Chasing That Feeling from their most recent comeback. TXT is famous for their versatility, they rarely do the same concept twice, they often lead the way in what sounds are popular, and if you ever give their albums a try they have some really fire bsides in all different types of genres, i probably listen to their bsides more than any other kpop group putting out music rn.

I recommend that when you delve into bsides you do all Track no. 1 in each album! its been a thing for us where track 1 gets higher expectations than the other bsides in the album as it never misses.

I wish they could have read their lyrics, cysm is such a deep song they just laughed it off, the mv was so deep and sad too.

Beomgyu is my bias at 1:39 and at 14:44 singing in the middle, and also at 21:32 in the middle in front, he has the more deeper singer voice, ugh! he raps too. at 2:56 he's my second bias, he's actually american and Korean, so he speaks English too. what's funny is when the election was here, people used that part in blue hour with the "it's you that i want" for memes lol.

To see even more versatility from them I think the next four songs should be “devil by the window”, “cat and dog”, “good boy gone bad” and “no rules”. If they were to decide to do a fifth song that I think it would be good to put in “I know I love you” because that’s another one of their Alt songs and it’s just as good as “loser lover”.
