so when i was first getting into Tyler, i was listening to the spotify "This is Tyler The Creator" playlist while riding a bike next to the beach and IFHY played. it was my first time hearing the song and i wish i could experience that first time feeling again, it actually hit me like a freight train and its still a top 5 tyler song for me. i had a very similar reaction to you over that song

Cherry Bomb is the album after Wolf and before Flower Boy, it is his most experimental album. Some say its his worst but it has a lot of bangers so i recommend that you listen. It is also the album that shows his transition from the old stuff to his newer stuff, like it has some jazz and soul influences that give flower boy vibes.
Cherrybomb is basically flowerboy and CMIYGL and igor in one album. If u listen he sprinkles here and there those 3 albums. But I believe at the time it was so much going on in that album people didn't really understand it. But he mastered the hell out of it on flowerboy and igor. Flowerboy is my favorite tyler album. Wolf was my favorite but flowerboy is my #1 and then igor. Wasn't really a fan of Cherrybomb or CMIYGL tbh.
this album grew on me so so much. at first i lowkey thought it sucked, then i watched some big video on it and started to like a few tracks. like a few weeks later ive been absolutely obsessed with everything about it. it’s probably my second favourite tyler album now. such good storytelling and creativity

wolf is one of my favorite albums by tyler. my top songs are probably answer as it somewhat relates to my life, lone because i like the beat and the story, parking lot for its "dog eat dog world" section, and treehome for "salems part" sang by coco and erykah. keep up the videos chomp. i really enjoy your reactions and discovery of tylers music as hes my favorite artist. sending love + support. edit: i love rusty. such a masterpiece. sams part was such a great way to close off the song.
This is honestly my second or third fav Tyler album. The story, the instrumentals, the overall vibe, it just hits different. Igor and CMIYGL still better though.

Yo, i think you should know what the "Wolf Trilogy" really is; Tyler in 2009 did an album named "Bastard" that introduzed some characters, and then in 2011 he did "Goblin" (DON'T SEARCH THE END) And then in 2013 "Wolf" These 3 albums did a story that in order, they are: - Bastard (2009) - Wolf (2013) - Goblin (2011) I highly recommend you listen to Bastard before Goblin, and yes, Wolf is the last in order but it's the middle in the timeline
Goblin and Bastard are his edgy albums, but Goblin has some great tracks like Yonkers, She, Troncat, Nightmare, and Analog… The Yonkers music vid is the one he eats the roach in, and She is my favorite Tyler song & mv, I recommend!!!!
Goblin is a huge step down I should’ve mentioned but a bit late now 😭cherry bomb and bastard are good but deffo not as good as his other four, but goblin genuinely only has like 4 good tracks for me and the lyrics are diabolical
If your gonna continue this Tyler series please listen to cherrybomb it’s my personal favorite and it has some good features like Kanye and kali uchis but if you want to get into OF listen to earl sweatshirt especially Doris earls background is really impactful

bastard is top edge lord like for real, i wouldnt say react to it on stream but it is cool to see some of his old music and get into the wolf trilogy, goblin is def more tame but still is def less tame then wolf. but regardless the whole 3 albums of the trilogy are fuckin amazing

I don't think you are ready for what is in Bastard or Goblin. I would recommend listening to the Radical mixtape by Odd Future. Most of the songs Tyler makes sound a bit like Bastard.
wolf is definitely the best of the trilogy, but you pretty much just have to listen to the rest of the series at this point its just pretty much crucial. but this is the other side of tyler that you had to endure through, but every tyler fan goes through it eventually. but flower boy and Igor definitely peak tyler, I'm exciting to see what his new album will consist of because it will be a new part of him different then wolf trilogy, and also different from his most recent work with flower boy/igor,cmiygl.
If you’re interested in the wolf trilogy after you react to goblin and bastard you should watch TennisThom’s video on it. After watching it it made me realize a lot of stuff and it like all clicked for me. Also idk why everyone hating on goblin, it’s fs not his best album but there are a lot of good songs on it and it has a great story
Rusty is the one of the only songs I can recite with like an AVG 95% consistency (IFHY I know it pretty much in its entirety and never mess it up), it’s my favorite song on the album and I am overjoyed to see another Rusty fan.
