Regine is a music icon here in the Philippines. She has inspired so many talents Mori and Stell included. Mori's vocal coach Sarah Geronimo is one of Regine's biggest fan also. Sarah did the Acer song Ace Your World with SB19. Regine has always been supportive of other talents especially the young, new talents. The girl beside Mori who was jokingly singing with her is Sue Ramirez. She is a good singer also. Her Wish Bus performance of Your Love is one with the highest views when it came out.

Regine is the OG and still very much on top of her game. She is the template for most of the artists in terms of style and work ethic. And it wouldn't hurt the fact that she is very giving and nurturing to new artists.

"Pangarap Ko ang Ibigin Ka" was composed by Ogie Alcasid as a love song / confession to Regine of his undying love for her, this was before they got married. Regine made it a very huge hit in the Philippines. Forward a few years --- Morissette is one of Regine's favorite young singer. Regine is so fond of Morissette that she ask Morissette to record it. Thus the version of "Pangarap Ko ang Ibigin Ka by Morissette with Regine's Blessing.

I wish the same for Stell, Hurraira. I love all five of the boys of SB19 but Stell truly deserves a solo. I also wish he can realize one of his dreams to do musical theater as well. Would you believe I'm even thinking that he could star in a biopic of the late Freddie Mercury bec of his range and stage presence and I dont think I'm being delulu at all bec that's how good he is. Regine, for me, is the best singer or most iconic singer in the Philippines, I mean, she's the number 1. Morissette, is my most favorite voice not only among Filipino singers but among all singers in the world. And ofcourse, I love Stell the most. P. S. Legit yung nabasa kong comment dito na nakakaiyak yung version ni Stell. I don't know why, it touched my heart so much, it's not that heartbreaking song especially if you don't know the story behind it's composition, but Stell really made me cry for no reason. I was calmed and entertained by regine, I was amazed by mori but Stell caught my heart in this version.

If I’m not mistaken, this song was originally written for Regine by her now husband (Ogie Alcasid). From what I’ve read, he had feelings for her so the song is written in a way that he is speaking to her about his own feelings towards her. Wow, that’s an awkward sentence, but hope it makes sense.

Perhaps that's the reason why her eye makeup has always been perfect. Morissette is Stell's idol and celebrity crush. He wrote this song for Regine (so romantic, right?!) right before they were married. It was also played as the processional song on their wedding day. ❤❤❤ It’s one of my favorite OPM songs!

I would suggest for you to watch Regine and Martin Nievera's broadway medley.

Regine is the pioneer of belting in the Philippines. Older generations definitely could belt and have range. But it was never a style of singing until Regine brought it to the music scene. Regine was highly influenced, like many artists, by western artists like Mariah or Whitney. You should definitely check out Morisette singing this on her whistle challenge on GGV. Another good version of this song is by Erik Santos. Check out the audio.
