Liszt - Sonata in B Minor - Janina Fialkowska - 1977 (Remake) 

This is an outstanding recording of the Liszt sonata in B minor by Janina Fialkowska. RCA released this recording on an Lp in 1977. Why it has never been re-issued on CD is beyond me. I also have her recording of the Liszt sonata in B minor from the 1974 Artur Rubinstein piano competition and while it is two minutes faster than the RCA recording, it is equally compelling. Janina Fialkowska is a master interpreter of the great Liszt sonata.
