It’s so interesting to see how much more effective Liszt’s pianism became over the years, and in fact after he retired as a concert pianist. And yet, still every account of his playing from that era was that it was absolutely electrifying. Just imagine what his audiences must have thought if they heard him play his later versions of his pieces!
11:13 that 10th with the B and the D# with the trill inside it seems completely evil at first glance... but can be done with the thumb on the C#. So typical Liszt.. games of chess with fingering...
