Dear God thank You me for being taught by your Nuns in the 40s and 50s….when the Holy Mass was in Latin And this Chant, I remember so well…..tears brought forth from my eyes…..thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus Love you Jesus.

One of the most beautiful visual prayers that I have seen. The chanting was beautiful and the drawings, I do not think that I have ever seen them before, often showed pictures related to Scripture. I would give the highest recommendation to this brief, beautiful prayer.

I wanted to re-write my comments as my previous comments could have appeared as false humility. As I was praying this it really brought to mind just what a sinner I really am. As St. Paul said, "I am chief among sinners." I can really relate to that. I want to have a true love for Jesus and to be a good example to my fellow man. Protestant or Catholic, I wish that we all would have a true love for our Lord and to be a great witness to a lost world. Thank you for posting this. God Bless.

The first song is actually the Nicene Creed chanted in Latin. It is Creed III from the Misa de Angelis in the Latin Mass Liturgy of the Roman Catholic Church.

People who do not know much about Liturgical Chant probably think the text is translation of the creed sung by the choir. It's a bit unfortunate I think. the second chant is the "libera me" from the requiem mass: "Finita Missa pro Defunctis, si facienda est absolutio, cantore incipiente, clerus circumstans cantat sequens respons" - "When the Requiem Mass is finished, the bystanding Clerus may, if there is an absolution, sing the following Answer, beginning the precentor".

The chant in the beginning is the Credo, aka the Nicene Creed. Not sure about the chant in the second half. The meter is familiar but I can't make out what they're saying.
