Little Bright was my favorite creative activity as a child! I’m so glad it came back! I want to purchase -a few again. They have them at Hot Tooic, Target Walmart. Amazon, etc. all of the big department stores!

Thank you, For this i just bought one for myself this month. Im 62 lol. I needed to know if the pics go under screen like the old kind i had when i was kid. Found that out. Cool Love this So Awesome. Thanks again.

Actually, it's nowhere near what it was back in the day. The screen is much smaller now (less than half the size of the original), much less bright, even dull looking at times. The pegs are hard to push in because they are blunt, not pointed anymore (I guess for safety reasons). I know this because I still have one of the old ones to compare to. A couple of good things: the new one I bought did come with batteries and there were two storage units for the pegs.

Would you by chance know how to set one up properly? I have the 1968 lite brite deluxe and I have no idea how to set the screens properly

@@maryjane32kc If it came with two screens, the first one is attached to the light box permanently. The paper then goes on the screen (there might be a blunt corner on the paper to match the blunt corner on the unit). Then the second screen goes over the paper and is attached to the light box with clips that fit on midway up on either side. So, basically the paper is sandwiched between the two screens.

I had the original as a kid, and that screen was big and bright as well, the pegs definitely had points too.

Pushing the paper down through the template ends up blocking the light on a lot of the pegs.

The pegs fit in the end of bb gun, you can hit targets at close range.

I'm here to comment about the one we got: it sucks, mainly because the pegs just don't STAY in. If you go to put a peg next to one you already placed, the already placed one flies right out making it impossible to finish any of the pictures. Bummer because my kid loves it but just wish it was...use-able?

I thought so too. On this new version the meshed screen doesn’t come off. You have to lay the paper on top and use pegs to anchor the pattern in place

i miss the old bulbs .. if you left it on to long it would melt some of the pegs :D and you could smell the plastic :.( they dont make stuff like they use too

I took out the old soft-white bulb it came with and put in a clear bulb and it made the pegs shine more brilliantly!👍

It doesn’t stay on :/ I got this because I’m an adult .... hahah and I was a bit disappointed. I’m looking up if it’s just my lite brite or all. Downfall of batteries = I guess would be that you can’t have the option to let it run continuously

I bought this for my daughter and it's awful. I had an original as a kid and it was my favorite toy. With the new one the pegs are hard to push in, theyre wobbly, the template doesnt go under the screen just sits on top of it, the light automatically goes off as you are using it, the whole thing tips over constantly, even when lying flat the back is angled so it tips when you put pegs anywhere near the edge, the screen is also very small. It's so disappointing 😭

where can I buy peg refills, I live in Ireland? I also wanted it to have the option to stay on, was very disappointed it doesn't.

Mine was much better. It was the size of a hotel room TV from the "80s. It was lit by a 60 watt incandescent bulb that plugged in the wall. And, it could burn you. It came with no warnings. You could choke on the pegs, and the paper probably killed any kid who ate a few sheets, eventually.

On Walmart's webpage tells you at the bottom that if you need more templates go to Basicfun . com. Well when you go there click on Toys to your upper left corner. Scroll down and choose Lite Brite. Click on product info (it doesn't work when clicking on the product image) and choose Materials. Then you will see that they have the templates to download under Lite Brite Ultimate Classic and Lite Brite Retro Deluxe. They are free. I hope this helps.

This is so cheap compared to the original. And laying the art on top vs insert? Means disposable vs using over and over. Buzz kill... Returning unused.

This is not my favorite design. The older version was better. Plus this is so cheaply made. I sent someone out to buy it for me to give as a gift because I was sick and was surprised because I expected the older design.
