Litecoin (LTC) is a cryptocurrency created from a fork in the Bitcoin blockchain in 2011. It was initially designed to address the developer's concerns that Bitcoin was becoming too centrally controlled, and to make it more difficult for largescale mining firms to gain the upper hand in mining.
While eventually unsuccessful in preventing enterprise miners from taking over the lion's share of Litecoin mining, the cryptocurrency has reworked itself into a minable coin and a peer-to-peer payment system.

I was speaking at the Bitmain WDMS recently where I met Alan Austin, the current MD of the Litecoin Foundation. We shared a cab back to the airport afterwards and I asked him about LTC price action and he just laughed and shook his head. I hold a small bag that I am dumping soon...so many others outperform it and these days I look at crypto as nothing more than a financial investment. And I think that those who went through at least one previous bull-run and bear-market are aware. But fresh blood is drawn into the crazy passion and narrative and lose their money. Rinse and repeat. To a lessening degree each time

That's awesome that you gave a talk at the bitmain WDMS, what's you're name? I'll give it a watch. I assume you're mining if you're attending something like that too. Pretty cool to meet Alan as well, he's got to be a smart bloke. I think you're right, every cycle new alt coins pop up and draw in all the new retail who hold for too long because they don't understand the cycle patterns. The ones that stand the test of time become boring, even if they work brilliantly. Making profits in crypto isn't about finding a good project, it's about guessing where most of retail is going to put its money.

@@iwanbundaman it is not worth watching to be honest - mostly nonsense. There were a few interesting speakers. Yes I built a 46MW Hydro Mining Farm for the company I worked for. You can see talk a little from 2h24m16s onwards

That's so awesome. Mining farms have always been a huge interest. If I ever make enough in crypto I'd have one myself. I know who to get in contact with anyway 😉

That's a really good idea. DCAing out of the asset is just as important as DCAing into it. Did you pick up all that LTC this cycle or have you been holding for a long time?

@@iwanbundaman Half for a long time. Once i sell i will never touch this coin again. The coin itself is sound, the community is clearly corrupt and holding it down with algo bots. I will tell all my friend i made the money on BTC. I refuse to help promote this thing.
