hi, do you mind to share Aero and Kfun wheels wt difference? My Crius is equip with Kfun, would changing to Aero rims be better wt savings since both are from Litepro?
I love your videos! But I realise I have to turn up max volume on my phone speaker when watching all of your videos. Seems like your sound recording is a little soft. Not sure if it is just me.. haha
Thank you for your support! Truth be told, there are times the audio recorded was corrupted. Ended using the back up audio 😅 Hopefully it is much better and more consistent now.
Good day...I need your advice..what is the difference between 406 and 451 wheelset??in this two wheels which one I can use still my old tire size 20x1.75..Thank you...
Hi 451 is of a bigger diameter, 451 tyres goes by fractions like 20x1 3/8. While 406 tyres goes like yours 20x1.75. So you need a 406 wheelset for your tyres.
I don't get why you would want to be aero on a folding bike. When the riding position is very upright, thus your body will cause a lot of drag. I'm not hating on foldies, just really curious.
if you are riding above >26kmph speed, the AERO wheel will help increase your speed by maybe 1-2kph also can try to lower your front fork handle bar Stem to reduce wind resistance
Several Moulton bikes use 406 tires and allow full aero rider positions. Many recumbents use 406, as well. I’m not sure you get a lot of benefit if riding upright, since 80% or so of wind resistance is due to the rider. A lot of people lump Moultons in with folders - maybe he does, too.
Aero wheels still provide some gain in speed no matter big or small. Yes people may be in upright position but if changing them allows us to increase the speed then why not eh? :)
Hi Nomis, I don't have the wheelset with me any more but if i remember correctly, you can just pull it out, there was no lock nut for this litepro wheelset.
Hi Are they many fakes litepro rims or hub in the market? Many bicycle shop told me that they don't sell litepro due to too many fakes & they are not sure are these product are authentic litepro?
Hi I'm asking on behalf of my dad, he's got a Crius velocity and currently using a litepro 451 carbon rim w schwalbe tyres. He's thinking of changing his rim to the ones in this video, would it be compatible for his crius?
Hi there, im actually using java zelo 7 speed and im wondering if its possible to change to this wheelset just by changing to a new 7 speed freehub casette ?
Should be able to on most models. The rear wheel should be no problem for sure.ypu will need at least 3 cm leeway. And if you are using narrow road tyres. You should have no problem. Bigger tyres could be an issue.
Aero wheels on a folding bike is pretty much useless, folding bikes are not fast enough to have significant gains from aero and most of the drag comes from the upright riding position anyway.
Bike friday and Dahon make folding bikes that have drop bars. They are fast and definately can benefit from aero wheels. There are many more gears and a lower riding position.
