Helpful review. Thank you. I’ve been using the LSV this year for sermon prep, alongside the ESV & NASB. Another RU-vid reviewer was quite negative about the LSV, but I’ve found it useful.
I love this Bible. I use it along with the American Standard Version (ASV) and the Amplified Bible (AMP). Seems like a lot of people don't like the LSV because the protestant pope Macarthur were not involved with it.
So true! In many many ways the LSV is far better than the LSB. That said, I really wish the LSV would produce an awesome premium handysize leather version that rivals what is produced for the LSB.
Excellent review! It seems that they also did a LSV translation of the apocrypha if anyone is interested in that. Kind of cool that they went the extra mile to translate some of the more controversial texts.
I bought me the Paperback, Hardcover, and They do have the Apocryphal books as well but sold separately. LSV is very good. But hope later on they do better binding and paper quality.
Seems to have the same goals that the Legacy standard Bible does. It’s great that more bibles with the name of God and literal wordings are coming into being. God bless!
Hallelujah and Praise the Matchless name of the Lord Jesus Christ who was and is and is to come. I really like that the LSV correctly translates ecclesia as assembly instead of church like King James insisted to force people to attend his Nicolaitan Clergy-laity false church system which the Bible tells us God hates. Revelation 2:6 Yet this you have: you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. Revelation 2:15-16 So also you have some who hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Therefore repent. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth. Not to mention the LSV will help create terrific parallel Bibles.
