I had an anti-gun relative told me to stop being friends with a person who was a owner of a .22LR because 'he might suddenly turn unstable and shoot you.' The ridiculousness of the anti-gun people knows no bounds.
@glennllewellyn7369 They're probably like, "Guns are used by criminals and mentally insane people, therfore if you are not police or military and you like shooting guns, you will turn bad and insane."
Mine loves the SK standard plus Subsonic. I only just finished comparing them to the RWS HP subsonics, SK rifle match, and the Eley HP subsonics. Very disappointed with the Eleys'. 5 shot groups at about 50 metres: www.users.on.net/~fritz/Target_Test/Target_Test.png _I do a lot of my shooting in my backyard so I try to stick with subsonics. the neighbours are too far away to hear them._ 😁
Hi I came across you channel while researching rim fire rifles because I am interested in getting into the sport. I noticed that you fire left handed using a right handed rifle is that because the manufacturers still don’t cater for us lefties? I find it difficult on most firearms shop websites to get information regarding if a rifle is available in left handed. Some companies referred to certain models as ambidextrous but what is your experience? I am looking at 17HMR or .22WMR and have narrowed it down to the SAVAGE A22R .22WMR the CZ515 bolt action leaver release .22WMR the TIKKA T1X in 17HMR and now the Lithgow in 17HMR if available in LH. Just wondering if you can steer me in the right direction. Cheers John
This is a super little .22lr for an out of the box mid-priced rifle it’s up there with the rest, Tikka, CZ, Ruger etc. Sadly the down side of this rifle is the very poor, non-adjustable, heavy trigger and total lack of aftermarket additions, try getting a new drop in trigger unit, or heaven forbid think about putting it in a chassis! And the straw that breaks the camels back will be the lack of customer care and support from Lithgow. If you can forget such negatives it’s a 1/2” grouper or less at 50mt with the right ammo. My 102 in .308, now that a different story!!
I think I paid 15 bucks for the lighter spring kit and I think it awesome, it's still about 3 lbs but crisp and consistent, perfect for varmint hunting when the trigger pull should be deliberate.
