What music video's do you think they played there? 90% of non-Russian performers and pop bands, rock bands, rave bands, metal bands: Aqua, Papa Roach, Backstreet Boys, Boomfunk MC, Bloodhound Gang, Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, Eminem, Smash Mouth, Mr Oizo, Rammstein, The Chemical Brothers, Britney Spears, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Gorillaz, Garbage, Guano Apes, Cranberries, Madonna, Cardigans, Evanescense, Blur, Blink 182, Offspring, Linkin park, Limp Bizkit, Moby, NSync, Marilin Manson, Aerosmith, Queen, Metallica, ACDC, Scooter, k0rn, some old Vacuum clips and even Electric Six and more more more (I the midnight hour... ) I understand what the Little Big band does: 1. A tribute to the music on which a whole unique generation in Russia grew up, which was only just born when the Soviet Union collapsed and turned into the Russian Federation. The "Iron Curtain" fell and a stream of beautiful Hollywood films and foreign music poured in to us, while in Russia, cinematography fell into chaos and complete stagnation, inability to compete with the quality of Hollywood cinema and for a long time freely developing dozens of directions in music. Until now, Russian cinema cannot catch up with American cinema (I understand why this is happening, but it is difficult to change something here now). 2. The craziness of the clips is the same tribute to the clips of foreign (not Russian) performers, of which there were many in the mid-90s - early 2000s and we saw them on MTV. If you dig around, you'll find plenty of American and other non-US clips with a similar level of "madness" in them. But, for some reason, this era is almost gone today. 3. The ending of the clip simply speaks of hypocrisy and that while the mother tells the child a fairy tale, the father can be an alcoholic or a drug addict and do nothing to help the family, which, unfortunately, is still found in various parts of the world and not only in Russia. 4. "Little Big" packs all sorts of ideas into their videos. This clip is still about hypocrisy, it seems to me. A mermaid who eats fish, a beautiful woman who makes herself ugly but fashionable lips, an excalibur sword that is given to someone who has more money on a credit card and an ending about a "family idyll" of course. They show how some things have been transformed in our minds. Snow White sits on a couch surrounded by dwarves, exactly as the corresponding adult video from Brazzers, how the word Farm is associated with Bitcoin Farm, how sometimes completely absurd things become fashionable, such as shoes or gigantic useless nails or hypertrophied breasts which some women run to insert to plastic surgeons, even if they are already beautiful. 5. What happened was fantasy vs reality. Why Backstreet Boys? Particularly this song. It is the hook. "Am I original? (yeah) Am I the only one? (yeah) Am I sexual? (yeah) Am I everything you need? You better rock you body now" Little Big have been a controversial breakout hit band. Their MUSIC has been touted as unoriginal, despite their originality in performance... much like the Backstreet Boys during their time and the release of the original. I would not call them musicians. I would call them performance artists.
Well Cindarella or ("Aschenputtel" german original written down by the Grimm Brothers) is just princess for one night. The Spell ends at midnight, that's why in the end she and her prince were turned back poor.
