On this night (February 8, 1991) when this performance was later broadcast on TV, I was at Long Beach Arena in So Cal attending the KNAC 105.5 FM 5th Anniversary Concert/Party, which was headlined by Ozzy Osbourne (with Alice In Chains, L.A. Guns, Bulletboys and Lynch Mob). During an intermission, I went to the bar in the KNAC private party area. This performance was being shown on the TV behind the bar. I looked at the guy sitting to my right, then at the TV. It was Ron Young! (He looked much taller in "Terminator 2: Judgment Day.") He was so cool and friendly. He signed my KNAC T-shirt. In the party area, the KNAC radio feed was being played. During commercial breaks, KNAC was broadcasting live interviews. When they played "War Pigs" by Black Sabbath on the radio, a bunch of us sang along, including Oz Fox (Stryper guitarist), Gonzo Sandoval (Armored Saint drummer) and Khurt Meier (Salty Dog drummer). They signed my shirt, too.
wow! great story! so cool to hear this stuff! Hey Paul, Can you do me a favor? Copy your post and paste it on their Official site? Here is the link to the other performance from that Rick Dees Show (Hard Times) .. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pnQ6MhKODNo.html
@@nofoave Many years later, Junkman at KNAC.com invited me to see Little Caesar perform at a small club in Anaheim called The Shack. After the show, Junkman re-introduced me to Ron Young. I reminded him of our previous meeting at LB Arena, and he said he remembered.
This band could have gone so much further🤦🤦🤦... I blame their crappie record company.🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻 They were asked to play at the big monsters of rock festival... but their record company refused to pay to get them and the gear out there and really just stopped supporting them👎👎👎👎.. They stated this band doesn't look good enough, and they are not photogenic..🤦🤦🤦🤦that monster of Rock Spot would have really been good for these guys' careers
Yeah I've heard some of the stories. But just fragments bits and pieces. Still really interesting stuff! These guys should write a book if they haven't already... Memoirs .. I mean they got decades and decades of material and they're still going.
@nofoave with all the online and software help these days... I think they could knock it out quickly. While they still have their health and memories 🤦🤦🤦a book would be awesome 👌👌👌💯🙋🏻🙋🏻
