I feel like a right pretentious arsehole telling people a band nobody has ever heard of is one of my favourites, but you lot make it more or less impossible for me to do otherwise. love it :D
Coming back to this after 7 years, thought I'd add a new comment to the din of old! Love your music, and the melodic clash that makes this song is always worth listening to.
For those who are astounded ever so by the word taciturn: Did you not listen to the first album? I believe their diction was very creative there as well.
How much would I have to pay to get Little Comets to paint their lyrics onto my guitar? That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen done to a guitar ever.
I'm so irritated that the video swivels back and forth from the singer to the guitarist at the start. That guitar part is tremendous. How can I figure out what he's playing?!
Maybe not.. but that's kind of what makes it cool, isn't it? The song has a huge singalong chorus, but it didn't need to settle on the dull rhyming couplets that you'd usually hear. I think that he uses "tactiturn" not for its obscurity but for the fact it's the only coolly rhythmic 3 syllable word for "quiet" or "sullen" or "uncommunicative". "..ta-ci-tUUUrn! JEEE-ni-fer" Sounds good, makes sense linguistically, (and we're allowing for poetic license,no?) so I'd say it fits! Perspicacity FTW!
really? every video i've seen from them (interviews, sessions, music videos) has always been with the same drummer, now this is the first time i've seen them with the new drummer. it's a shame too, i really liked him, he was quite the character. guess i've got some studying to do
If you like Little Comets, you'll love Circa Waves! They just released their debut album, Young Chasers itunes.apple.com/au/album/young-chasers/id951755524
