I liked watching this movie back when I was 12 years old and I liked Kristy in the movie she was so tuff and so hip I wanted to be like her tuff & yea I was more than she' was lol those were the best days to watch movies
I fell in love with Kristy McNichol the moment she kicked that idiot boy in the balls! Believe it was real contact too. A memorable opening to a brilliant movie.
@@rcogburn12 Oh yeah! I'll always remember hearing the boys groaning when she kicked him in the balls. A great unexpected fun surprise for the entire audience, I'm sure the girls really enjoyed watching it along with listening to the males reactions. Such a cute opening scene...so different and unique in its own special way. One of the best movies ever, a true one-of-a-kind classic gem in its original form!
@@lindamerchant123 Yes I agree, it's kinda exaggerated and misleading - in real life it probably would be a different story. Oh I'm sure that scene did inspire some girls to kick boys in the "balls" when it was acceptable to do so back then, we'll even nowadays. Anyway it really was such a cute, fun, surprising and contraversial start to the movie (depending upon your gender I suppose.) I'm a male and as painful as it was for me to watch...I really loved it! Besides I also love Kristy McNichol!!!
