Still waiting for them to release the soundtrack already, dammit! Some of the most beautiful compositions for television I have ever heard, and one of the best miniseries ever.
This is one of three really superb series starting with Charles Dickens "Bleak House", "Little Dorrit" and finally "Downton Abbey". All the music composed by the brilliant John Lunn. The acting in all three is peerless and the Direction flawless. John Lunn's music is quickly moving him up into the same league as Hans Zimmer, although his style is different, which is as one would expect.
Five star production all the way. Dickens at its best and with flawless acting throughout! A joy to watch. Great theme music by John Lunn as he did for the earlier Bleak House.
Yes, I'm a Yank. But I'm also absolutely awestruck by this series. Therein are some of the finest actors and one of the best soundtracks, I've ever had the pleasure of viewing, and hearing.
Little Dorrit is my most favorite series ever. it is beautifully done, not least of all the soundtrack. the music is so beautiful. you could tell what was going on just by listening to the music alone,
A truly 5 star miniseries and great rendition of the book. Superb acting by all, and beautiful and evocative music by John Lunn, who has emerged in the same league as the great John Barry.
I watched this mini-series because of two reasons 1. Matthew Macfadyen 2. Charles Dickens I was worried though , thinking I'm gonna waste my time just because of this huge crush I have on Matthew but I'm so glad I watched it. Claire's performance was brilliant, Mr Dorrit was portrayed perfectly and Mr Clennam.. Sigh!!!! Such a good lad.
