Yeah you don't even get the three hots on a cot anymore. You get one hot one cold and then you're on your own. And little $0.20 soups in prison are actually about $0.80 a piece. Cigarettes are through the roof as is any meat product. And where will they do a fundraiser? They market up two and a half times. So what you'd pay at Costco for whatever you want paying two and a half times that price to get it in prison. And on top of that, what you ordered may not actually show up, You may get alternate items that you really don't like. And that is when it finally shows up. There was one point we waited 9 months past their deadline for our stuff, hell I almost got out before I got my stuff.

Fun fact. Most jails and prisons have a daily fee. So at the jail i work for theres a 25 dollar processing fee upon your arrest and a 3 dollar daily fee that comes out of whatever money you had when you got arrested and if people put money on your canteen. If you have no funds you will recieve a bill upon your release.
