Elena was obviously jealous of Mia’s bond with Pearl. Instead of trying to fix her relationship with Izzy she just deflected and tried to tear Mia’s and Pearl’s apart. She’d never admit that though cause of her pride and narcissism.
Elena is such a narcissist, she actually is. She seeks validation from Mia cuz she wants to be seen as a good person in her eyes. She wants her kids to be seen as her perfect image, and she only does things that helps others to benefit herself and to feel good about herself. The show does cover narcissism it does.
@@Joe_Parmesan literally, but something that’s like overlooked is bill, I hated him, he was such a piece of shit like leaving Elena and forcing her to have Izzy, and then the way he told Izzy to “fucking grow up” when he tolerated the way Elena treated Izzy was disgusting, sorry if that’s off topic but like I’m here for bill slander as well 😂
@@Retroworld-lk8so at first, I liked Bill, but after thinking about how things went, I didn't like him as much. Still ok, but his hands are not clean at all. Even though Elena made some mistakes, she told him the truth when they had their final confrontation. It's unfortunate that she took out so much of her frustration out on Izzy. I think the show makes a point that Elena and Bill weren't a good match, because they didn't ever seem to have strong communication between each other, not like the other couple that adopted the baby. I wonder if they would stay together after the fire

Elena always takes stuff personally, she said Mia had to leave in about a month, and when Mia humbled her, she made her leave in a day. Could’ve easily been in jail for that
*SPOILER* i had to type this out the last 12 seconds are just as important as the read mia served elana. i think it goes to show how her strained relationship with izzy played into her relationship with pearl. elana basically tried to mold izzy into lexie, and when she knew she couldn’t, she rejected her own daughter and started favoring the girl who moved in her rental property. once izzy started giving in, elana reacted more nicely to her then eventually mia inspired her to make her own decisions and live in her truth. i think that’s the straw that broke the camel’s back. she formed an obsession with mia after realizing she actually reached her daughter with genuine appreciation of her character, knowing her relationship couldn’t be the same with izzy. in turn, she could do no wrong in pearl’s eyes and vice versa. UNTIL pearl started seeing trip more and moody less. although pearl shouldn’t be judged for who she chooses to sleep with and she doesn’t necessarily owe moody that, she did lie about it(lie of omission)and that’s the one fault elana found. she told her the truth about mia and pearl’s past, allowed her to think she actually cared, then rejected her and kicked them both out. she almost cost two mothers their children, bebe and mia. unknowingly in the wrong, bc she has a limited view on motherhood as a whole. i think she ended up losing izzy and her house as karma for her actions and it’s only fair. the ONLY time she actually did things in the interest of her children was when she lied saying she burned the house down. possibly bc she knew she deserved all that came back to her and overhead her kids calling her out on her selfish ways. honestly i can understand tho, she did give up a love(jamie), a career(the promotion she wanted), and a whole life which can be interpreted as her own life or birthing izzy. but she was much worse than she made mia out to be. and bc elana rejected pearl, she was finally able to understand why all the trauma mia endured led her to run for so long, especially when warren’s final wish was for her to keep the baby and she lost the love of her life. pearl didn’t realize that the photo wasn’t about the money. it held so much pain for her as well as beauty bc pearl was in that photo as well(bc she was preggers). the day she realized pauline loved her was the last time she saw warren, and losing them both along with her parents caused her to make so many wrong decisions, but she owned up after being exposed and let pearl lead the way in the end. she saw elana for who she really was, understood the gravity of her actions, and forgave her mom for lying bc the lie she told came between two brothers. that’s why i believe the last 12 seconds made the show come full circle.
