To accompany Project Audion's reconstruction of Langston Hughes' lost radio soap opera from the 1940s that focused on Black lives in Harlem, Larry Groebe of Project Audion interviewed Dr. Vanessa Valdes of the City College of New York in Harlem. She is an acknowledged Hughes expert and the Director of CCNY's annual Langston Hughes Festival. Dr Valdes offers insightful information on this important writer, his life and impact, and discusses the Festival's mission.
