In this chapter ( “Ruined” ) a weak floor exposes Daniel to imminent danger which force Andrew to make a choice - Attack the creature, Pull Up Daniel or stand there and Do Nothing. Once that decision has been made Daniel will also have need to make a choice of his own - Reassuring or Reckless. Here are most of the resulting consequences -
0:03 - 4:12 : Andrew Attacks, Daniel being Reckless
4:14 - 4:28 : What happens if Andrew attacks without the gun?
4:31 - 6:01 : Andrew attempts a Pull Up, Daniel being Reassuring
6:03 - 8:25 : Reckless and failing the QTE
8:27 - 9:38 : Do Nothing and fail all QTEs

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is an upcoming interactive drama survival horror video game developed by Supermassive Games and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is the second of eight planned installments in The Dark Pictures Anthology series and the successor to Man of Medan.
The story follows college students “Andrew”, Taylor, Daniel, Angela and their professor John who become stranded in the fictional town of Little Hope located in New England which has an infamous history of witch hunting that took place in 1692. As the group explores the town, they witness the execution of a group of settlers from the past who look exactly like them. Our stranded “survivors” must find out their connections with the settlers, piece together the history of the town, and discover the root of the evil.
The game is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on 30 October 2020.

I played this game on pc and i remember on my first playthrough everybody died except for john and andrew,the thing is i had a shitty wireless mouse and that mouse was responsible for every character death.Cant even express how pissed off i was.

Idk why Daniel's part in "Ruined" I had to play 3 times over, everyone else I saved flawlessly. I finished the game now Man of Medan is up next!

That's funny considering that was my easiest scene to do and Taylor had died by the burned demon after I went left because on XBOX, the damn action QTE never appears ANYWHERE making that scene 100% impossible. I also chose "GO!" by mistake unaware that it saved Daniel later on.. LH was also the first one I played then MoM, TDIM, HOA..

@@imanormalperson I got all the left variations after letting her get killed by the hanged demon after she burned to death in a seperate game, but then she successfully stabbed the burned demon and got away.

I still don't quite understand the character traits in the death scenes and what the point of them are...i used to think on my first walkthrough that unlocking them might have given another chance to avoid death but that doesn't seem to be the case...

In Little Hope besides completing the QTEs the characters also have to grow as people. There are some specific in which the characters need to be better (I don't know which ones but there's a bearing for each of the 4 characters - excluding Andrew because he can only die by shooting himself from regret). Although I don't know which choices are the most relevant I know that when the characters have the opportunity they need to choose the sacrifice self options when they're confronting their demons (Taylor: "Go with the others", Daniel: "GO!", Angela: "Hurry up, John!", John:"Leave me behind"... or at least I think so) or else all previous traits' choices will be invalidated and they'll die at the final act anyway. *(And of course there are the QTEs screwing you over between these choices so you might not think straight during your first time playing)

@@pedroxavier6009 they do I had them confront the demons and they made it. Until Andrew realised they aren’t real which was a huge kick in the guts after I tried so hard to keep them all alive lol 😆 but I did cheat a alittle and turn qte timer off hehe, but even that didn’t help sometimes as I’d panic & hit the wrong button. The scariest is Until Dawn 😱 those don’t move actions are just terrifying I literally hold my breath during them.

What if Daniel choose "Reasuring" during pipe scene and then fail fighting QTEs? Will he still die?

You’ll have to pass all the quick time events, but after that he won’t die in the burnt down house

If you fail the first ever QTE given in ruined as Daniel and complete the rest, you will not regret it. Makes it a better scene.

Smh the game has poor voice acting and facial reaction to certain situations, like here in daniel's death his group were watching him from above and none reacted as if they're watching anime or something

@@molestingapple4784 Well still I haven't seen it yet. All i saw was him Crouching and that's it. No: NO! TAYLOR! NOOO! For example in Man of Medan. Julia's death scene when she gets killed by the thing that looks like Alex aka Olson is really cool. Both Conrad and Alex are there sad. Alex looks like all he hears in his head are Beeps and Conrad is Screaming no a lot. Plus in the Next scene they have tears in their eyes. Looks kinda black though.

If Daniel is dead, John falls down the hole (John can't die until the scene where he gets grabbed by the demon on the veranda of the house). John tells the others to go outside of the house and instead of the group finding Daniel, they find John.
