I watched this show in my country with my aunt and big sister and this episode I've been kept in my mind. As a child I never read the credits or pay attetion to that. The final scene revealed to me that Laura Ingalls Wilder was a real person and the tv show was based on a famous series of books. After this episode I began to read the credits, who wrote the episodes, the producers, creators, etc.
The truth is that the real Laura DID have her books edited like that - and by her own daughter. That Russell guy is basically Rose Wilder Lane in pants. But wait, that giel running into the library at the end - isn't that the girl who played Nancy Oleson?
