Wow, Ponte, you look and sound so happy. As white Kenyan, born in Kitale, Kenya, I was an Airline pilot in the Middle East after starting my career, at Wilson Airport, Nairobi. I flew for a Middle East Airline, after emigrating to UK, after independence. In my flying career, I flew to Many destinations in Italy. Love Italian food, and drink especially Sambuca, Molinari I feel was the best taste, but I am sure you will tell me otherwise So much enjoy you channel. thank you. Chow.
I grew up in Malindi then went off to Uni and work, got married and moved to Watamu. I loved growing up there. My Godfather Nino ran a lovely restaurant Ai Pescatore and I worked there sometimes so I learnt Siciliano and Italian food. I'm so happy you are sharing this with the world! I'll look for you next time we come to Malindi.
I love discovering countries where Italians have immigrated, have integrated with the indigenous people and have imparted some of their Italian culture and traditions! Malindi looks truly beautiful! Viva Italia e viva Malindi!
@@MainulWasTaken Italians have immigrated to many countries worldwide, which is not unique in itself. However there are some countries where Italians have immigrated and speak their language, and have maintained their culture and traditions within their new host country. Check the town of Chipilo, just south of Peubla, Mexico, where the Venetian language is spoken by the descendants of some 38 Italian families who migrated to Mexico more than 130 year ago.
I give this video five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I taken in by the beautiful beach at White Moon. The first thing I noticed was no trash on the ground. Second, what really amazed me is that they have eliminated plastic, which continues to destroy our marine life in the oceans. I applaud them 100%. What I found most interesting was the history and interesting information provided by Freddie. I knew nothing about Malindi, nor the compassion between Italians and Kenyans until seeing this video. I do thank you Michele and Freddie for making this video educational, and fun at the same time! That pizza you showed us looked delicious, and of course would put any pizza from Domino’s or Pizza Hut to shame! I’m happy for you Michele for actually getting a taste of home for a change! As much as I want to visit Rome and Florence, I at least now know there is excellent food to be found in Malindi. You did a great job showing your sponsor SURFSHARK along the way during your walk. May you and SURFSHARK both find benefits in your collaboration! 👍. In closing, I’d just to say you’re beginning to look like a raccoon around the eyes again. Get some rest my friend! You make me worry at times! Stai attento!
The sure five starts thing every time is your comments, Randy! The questions I made Freddie was what kept me curious too and I'm glad us both enjoyed his answers! Regarding the sponsor, I hope they'll be happy and one day I'll partner with them again! Grazie, Randy!
Dawa is a hindi word meaning, medicine, not a swahili word. Many hindi words are incorporated in the swahili language due to the Indian settlers for generations there in Kenya.
This place is awesome. Who would've thought you'd find a Italian village in Kenya. .. very cool. .. also i like your product presentation. .. i think I will use this when I travel. .. stay blessed
Michele, great content ! Way to go ! I loved how , when you talked to the man about Italy, your joy for Italy simply made you shine ! An ambassador for your home country ❤️
Ponte vlogs makes sense, love how the Kenya Italian man how he welcomed you he was soo happy to have you as guest maybe you could work with him he seems to be a lovely man I just like his warm heart ❤️ ❤️❤️
I liked the Surfshark ads displayed on the gates. Your editing skills are precise and amazing! I like French Fries are they from Italy? The Italian Expat was pretty cool. I liked his Vibe! We clean our towns here locally on Mondays and Thursday. Both days for trash and Thursdays for recycles. Nice how the expat Italians support the local Kenyan community especially the children through soccer and other activities with social support. Congrats on your Sponsorship!!!!!
This is such a great video and makes me want to visit even more! People coming together to love each other and the land 🙌🏾 This is the way people should live among each other 🙏🏾
Amazing video about Little Italy and i am so glad to see you that you reach Italian territory. We always miss something from our motherlands when we are travelling,i guess it is in our blood or roots, especially if we do that for prolonged period of the time. It reminds those communities around the world that build themselves in another countries to make their ''immigrants'' feel like locals in those countries and get some confidence to build their culture, while living in totally another country.I believe country is in the heart, not in the name of the country, thats why i guess humans are restructuring time to time. Anyways, enjoyed premiere and hope all is well!
I told you if you go to malindi, you won't get bored because it's like a home for you,the food, Pizza pasta,oh my😋😋😋I lived and worked there for two years
I was living in Kenya when the Uhuru Satellite was launched in 1970 from Malindi to do X-ray astronomy. I was 11 years old at the time. I am glad that Italians are contributing to the culinary, economic, cultural, social, and recreational life of Kenya.
Wallah katikaa cost yote mld no 1 imeshinda msa south coast likoni mld mashallah watu wengi wapenda sana haswa hii county half wapo wanaoishi wa talian
Hi Michele my friend always nice to see you as happy as a child on Christmas Eve and especially when you are in a beautiful city of Malindi. This Italian guy is amazing with an interesting story behind and how he puts children together to prefer football and also to get them out of the crazy streets task of that is a good deed. The place and the resort look amazing and I understand why you're there.Thank you Michele and stay safe. :-)
The Italians borrowed the pizza from the Aztec Civilization of the Americas in the great food exchange and revolutionized it and exported it universally, so many people think Italians were the original creators of pizza but, history teaches us differently. The Aztec Civilization also had their city built on islands in the Lake. The city was called Tenochtitlan.
Interesting Malindi prior to the Italians was associated with the Germans....kids spoke German and shop adverts appeared in German. The Italians came with the Formosa Bay space program!!
Hi Michelle. I love watching this place Malindi. It's so beautiful and I love see nature and the sea a bit away from the houses and table for tourists. It's good for you to get to different places like Malindi dat not many people knows about it .
WoW!!! This is a very nice discovery Mr. Ponte. Milindi is very clean and beautiful. I never know this place existed until your visit. Little Italy in Africa. Stay safe. Respect and blessings.
