Wonderful Memories, for the exception of our loved ones, tejano music kept us going through that hell called the ted-offensive, and reminding us that we all had priceless reasons for returning home. Welcome home my brothers--Viet-Nam 1968-69....4th Infantry. Martin E. Quintana...Pecos, New Mexico.
Awesome find, my brother. This song reminds me of my two tours in Viet Nam. No matter where I was, I always ended up with my Tejano brothers. Thanks again. A big thank you to all the chicano's who served and are currently serving our country. Que dios los quide para siempre. J. Gonzales
When our Brother went to serve in Vietnam I was 15 years old and listening to Little Joe. This is always going to be the song that reminds me of that time when our brother was away, but remembering that I gave my Brother the Medalla Little Joe speaks of in this song, and know in my heart that it was what brought our Brother home safe. Thank you Little Joe for remembering all our Brothers and Sister, nieces and nephews serving this Country with this song and Thank you for all the beautiful Music you have bestowed upon myself and every other Baby Boomer out there..

Judan, Little Joe played this song during his performance at Casche Casino last Friday. I just happened to be visiting family when I found out he was going to be there. Not only did he play this song, he payed tribute to all the Veteranos in attendance. I am from the Vietnam generation. I spent 23 years in the Corps, from 1969 through 1992. I still get goose bumps whenever I hear this song. No one plays it better than Little Joe.
I have friends who fought and survived the Vietnam war and like me they love this song. Mis respetos. Y recuerdos de mi amigo otro gran cantante Abelardo "Cha Cha" Jimenez que en paz descanse, tambien fue Sargento del Army en combate en Vietnam. Decorado con 13 medallas y listones de honor.
From Seguin Texas to working in the fields of Colorado, and Michigan, in Vietnam 1969-1970, always have listened to Little Joe Y La Familia. Muchos Recuerdos con las canciones de esta grand Familia. Jose Sauceda Guerrero

This song reminds me of my badass uncle Tommy, 101st ABN Div, 68-69 Vietnam, I seen get drunk and cry, listening to this song, never understood what he meant. I was a kid, but he is and was cool to me. Fast Fwd to 03 am getting ready to deploy to Iraq. The last phone call I got before I got on the plan was his. He tells me," take care, be safe, and come home". Well I made it home, and now Uncle Tom, I understand.

I never knew this song existed till after I came home from deployment in 91. We stood ready to go to Kuwait but we weren’t called to go 3rd LAI BN. 29 palms Ca. I just imagine my mother hearing this song and wondering if I am headed to the Persian gulf or not
One year after high school, I got drafted but I enlisted per my brother's suggestion to stay out of the infantry. Served in Pleiku during the Tet 68 offensive. Thank God I made it back to my family and wife in El Paso. Retired after 22 years and now live in Georgia. Danny & Belen 55 years and going strong.
DAMN ! WHAT A SONG. JUST CAME FROM VIETNAM 1968. IN PARRANDAS , MY UNCLE WITH HIS BAJO SEXTO AND I WOULD SING IT ALL THE TIME OUT IN THE COUNTRY ROADS. ISRAEL
My respect to all U.S arm force service personal including my self as a USMC. Sad to say that Little Joe don't even sing this song no more at his concert, for example 4th of July,Memorial Day nor veteran's day. This song and Soldado Razo. He claims so much respect for all veteran's? Why doesn't he dedicate this song to veteran who attends his concerts? Any way's Thanks for sharing this video.
