WITH ALL THIS MADNESS IN THE WORLD!! THANK YOU!! FOR TAKING US ON THIS PEACEFUL RELAXING TRIP!! IT'S LIKE WE BUILT OUR OWN BEAUTIFUL HOUSE AWAY FROM CIVILIZATION!! TREES ARE PILLERS TO HOLD UP THE ROOF! INTERIOR COLORS DON'T OVERSHADOW THE NATURAL BEAUTY OF THE SUITES! & LOVED ❤ THE QUOTE IN THE FRAME ON THE WALL- " LIKE WATER IN THE DESERT IS WISDOM TO THE SOUL" HEARTY BREAKFAST! HOT AIR BALLON & RIDE OFF INTO THE UNFORGETTABLE SUNSETS!! PEACE BE STILL!!❤
What wonderful memories your video brought back to me of our visit here. The refurbishment looks great. Our kulala was the one right on the end. I see they have added wooden walkways and lights. Had to use a torch to get back from the dining room through shifting sand so thats an added bonus. The outside bed used to be up on the top deck which was fabulous to see the Milky Way - above was a myriad of stars in the unpolluted skies complemented by shooting stars - just breathtaking. The drive up from Swak is a boneshaking ride along those gravel roads but so worth it to experience the worlds oldest desert region and this lodge. Make sure the tank is full and you carry spare tyres and spades. A trip I still remember like yesterday. Watching ostriches walk pass the kulala first thing in the morning was an eye opener. The sundowner up on the ridge to watch that sun go down was magical as was the balloon ride -not to be missed. Up early to experience a drive along the dry Auab riverbed to climb one of the red dunes ( Dune 45 ) to watch the sunrise followed by a breakfast on white linen tablecloths under under the shade of a local tree at the base of the dune. The Dead Vlei ( clay pan ) was sureal. The guides here are very knowledgeable Once you have experienced a Wilderness Safari nothing else compares. The company do a lot to rehabilitate the area -they have dropped the fences separating KWR and the Namib Rand Nature reserve and as such the wildlife has returned. This was a life changing journey for me. Namibia is a rare jewel in the African landscape often overlooked by its neighbours but its a country I would highly recommend to your followers. Thank you once again for posting
I have always had a fascination with the earth and it's desserts, I was never able to travel to these places, my education didn't get to plossume the way I had hoped. So now thanks to you all my dreams finally came true, I'm so happy I got to see it's mightyness and grandeur because of our technology and sweet people such as yourselves who love to film and can. Thanks Doug
I'm going to stay there in 2 weeks! So happy you did a video review on this amazing hotel. Watching made me so psyched to get there!!😁 I cannot wait for your next video because we are going to do the hot air balloon ride and climb the dunes.
Once again your cinematography and music choice are simply sublime. I am so glad I found this amazing channel and can share it with all of you. This is such a nice thing to see after the hectic weeks I am sure we all have. I always look forward to these every saturday and they are a highlight of my week. Stay safe and please keep up the fantastic work!
I can‘t help wonder where the electricity and water come from. I saw a passive solar water heater but what about electricity. I saw no solar panels. Btw, thank you for such beautiful videos.
Forgive me, this was the soonest I was able to watch this. How incredibly tranquil, although only part of the tranquility is the location. The rest of it is your choice of music & your Flawless, smooth footage. Your trip videos are saving what little sanity we have left lol... Many thanks & cheers ❤
Little Kulala speaks to me in the same way that North Island does, but with a completely different setting. The wildlife is amazing. Sleeping outside under the stars like I used to do when I was young--also amazing. If it's all the same to you, I'll skip the nightime scorpion hunt, even if it is my astrological sign ;) Sometimes I think back to the 10-minute videos you used to do, and as charming as they were, there is no comparison to the mad skillz you have developed since then. Thank you, Dr. LTE, for this Nimibia trip of a lifetime! Looking forward to our hot air balloon ride next week.
Another terrific episode the visual imagery was stunning and you captured it and the stillness of the desert perfectly. The sunset sun rise Colors! Landscapes like that must/will stay with you for life AND Ballooning too! I can only imagine being there for real.
What a stunningly beautiful place, with very comfortable lodgings. From having lived in the High Desert in California, I know it takes a day or two before your non-desert eyes start to pick up the subtleties of color and shading which are so wonderful in a desert. You mention it briefly, but I was really bummed that there weren't star-gazing activities. The night sky there had to have been absolutely mind-blowingly amazing. Thank you so much for your videos - I've been 'traveling' with you quite extensively this week :) I don't want to actually go anywhere, I'm totally a homebody, but I'm glad you are doing it and letting me come along. Thank you!
@@harshalkalve If I remember correctly, he's from Belgium...I was referring to ALL the stuff going on in the world, including 🇺🇦 . He travels extensively for work.
Hi Traveler. Thank you very much for this new episode. You are the best. As always, your cinematographic skills with strategic silent moments are off the charts when combined with your musical selection. Thank you for making me feel in the places you gracefully share with us.
I love the Natural organic design that it blends with the environment, Looks so peaceful. Beautiful place to meditate and reflect. I also like that they had the plant based option in the main pick
Hi Traveler. Well, That sunset sequence was just amazing. Unlike anywhere else in the world you have seen them take place. Along with Aman Zoe, Angkor Wat, Santorini, and Mykonos. A truly beautiful location for sure, like being on another planet, indeed.
Stunningly beautiful! Awesome and amazing!! I could spend a month there, easily!! My favorite thus far ... ❤ !! Once again, fabulously shot and edited. Well done, dear LTE, well done, indeed!! Looking forward to next week's video!!
It's not a destination I would visit. Not today and not another day. But I admire your work and I have a healthy envy of your way of living. It couldn't have been easy at first. Congratulations.
Those sunrise and sunset shots were so spectacular and serene👌🏻. The reason I like luxury hotels like this is because they are spacious and empty😂. Thanks a lot man for making this video's!!! Namaskaram 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Lovely place. I struggle a bit seeing swimming-pools in the middle of a desert (I've been to Namibia and remember what taking a shower was like). Other than that, this place looks incredible
@theluxurytravelexpert What an amazing stay. It is absolutely stunning! As usual your footage and the way you have presented it is amazing. Thank you for always making us feel like we are the only ones there with you. The stone, the curves and your filming style are a perfect fit. The magical sunsets. Can't wait to see the stunning balloon flight! How long was your holiday in Namibia?
Another amazing video, THANK YOU, especially during these turbulent times, it’s a nice escape. Don’t you wonder about a scorpion in your bed or a snake in your shower. That would make me scream so loud and run so fast. Safe travels. Aloha!
i like the rocks and sand surrounding the location..i like that it has a fully open concept to the property. In terms of security, how do they attempt this? I like that they have used a lot of natural things from the area..this is good so that it gives the property a totally unspoiled look and natural feel when you're there. the accommodation has a simple look to it but this blends very with all that they have done with the whole property itself...nice work.
Another superb hotel you’ve showcased. Thanks for sharing Mr. Tourguide With these locations, I can only imagine what the night sky would be like. Did you happen to take any photos of the starry nights?
Yes, sleep-outs are indeed nice BUT (and I’m sorry to ask such a safety - centered question) what about mosquitoes at night? I once worked in Angola, a country where malaria was endemic. One would never, ever sleep outdoors in an unscreened environment! I’m guessing Namibia is so dry there are absolutely no mosquitoes flying around? Just asking. Thank you!
