still, great music choices :D minor circuit's the only one I know, but this version is even nicer without being distracting, so beautiful guide cause I actually struggle in being patient against Little Mac and feel a little better having just heard your opening analysis of his gameplay bc I always feel like I either body them or lose horribly, but both situations are over VERY quicky, so I always feel uneasy when I see him in the battle preview XD
I wish they could’ve included the Major Circuit music along with the main theme of the Punch Out Wii opponent boxers like Glass Joe’s theme, King Hippo’s theme, Piston Hondo’s theme, Bald Bull’s theme, Super Macho Man’s theme and ESPECIALLY Mr Sandman’s theme. Maybe even throw in the exclusive to the at the time Club Nintendo Doc Louis theme.
Lil Mac requires absolute perfection and I utilize him as a breathalyzer. If I can beat my friends with lil Mac, I'm good. If I'm getting my shit stomped, my reactions are slipping and it's time to stop drinking
I've been looking for someone who shows the controls and what buttons to press on switch because I'm kind of new to the game and want to main lil Mac, but I'm having trouble finding someone who does that
Honestly? Amazing guide!. I Main Little Mac for a few years already and I can say this is explained perfectly. You covered many important points that must be known and used in the current meta, such as Aerials boosting recovery, advantage options and combo breaking potential just to name a few. Also, his terrible grab has 2 good options: There's an amazing set up for D Throw at ledge actually! Since opponents start to DI out, at 55-70% it can actually true combo into Side B and potentially kill (instant press). Usefull to punish normal get up into shield. And if they start to DI IN, Mac's Up B comes into play. As a last note, even being negative on shield, A spaced D tilt is great to avoid grabs and some Up Bs out of shield like Cloud Once again amazing explanation, S tier edits and quality. 🥊🥊 Have a good one boxers! -Pantheon , 🇨🇱 Little mac Main
Been main this character for 4 years now and I still learn new things on these in depth character vids. Thank you for making this especially for little mac.
Very good guide! I just have a few comments: Straight Lunge! Can be reversed, also kills the majority of the cast at 30%. Great shield break punish. Can be shield-cancelled into Up-Smash for great punishes with lots of armor/shield. Also! If you get a shield break, if you charge Straight Lunge to red (but not max, essentially right before it hits max) and hit an opponent, on nearly all characters this leads to a tech situation that people generally aren’t prepared for and you literally end Straight Lunge *right* next to them, which can immediately combo into Downwards Angled F-Smash or Down Tilt to Side B or Up B with a Dempsey Down Tilt (the innermost hitbox of Mac Down Tilt). Additionally, down throw into Side B or jump Side B *is* a possible mixup option that will hit DI Out a lot of the time.
Nicely done I now realise how good pivot cancel ftilt is! Also with macs side b you can also press a after pressing b for it to come out instantly if you find it easier pressing the two buttons at once :)
as a little mac main that only gets to play smash when he's playing with his friends this is incredibly helpful, thank you so much for this i am indebted to you forever
One of the best and easiest true combes is grab down through up B it's rly good bc it works at ANY% and kills over 90% I know its easy cause I just used him for the first time yesterday and figured it out myself!
Loving these guides, gonna binge the whole playlist. Some additional notes as I came across certain moments in the vid since Mac was my first main: -"underwhelming air speed" He's tied with like 6 characters for the 12th fastest? Use this with his frame 3 kill move or frame 1 heavy armor to get on plats and combat the camp. Fair can get a tech chase going if you wanna go that route too. -Didn't expect aerial boosted Up-B to get some recognition, bout time lol. Note you can use Nair as well, you sacrifice a tad bit of forward movement for a quicker up B due to less endlag if you're approaching a little low. -Up angled fsmash kinda getting neglected here, it's a fantastic anti air against landing aerials. Covering more space than up smash. -Speaking of, up smash covers lower plats. Ya can't just emphasize plat camping as a weakness of Mac then neglect his tools against it. -Macs call landing both hits of Dsmash The Dick Twist..not important but I just wanted to mention it. -There's a lotta dum dums out there trying to recover with the late release of side-B, don't do it. For the love of God anyone reading this wall of text don't do it. Your gonna be way too low by the time you can do jack shit after the endlag. The amount of players who will blame the character before realizing they're recovering poorly is astounding. Early release or pick another character. -Good approach to his aerials! They're poor but shouldn't be neglected entirely, I respect the all encompassing look at his kit. Too many guides convince players to never press jump. -Use FF Nair when enemies are grounded! They end up in landing lag for a moment and you can easily reverse an early combo that took you a little off the ground into an advantage state. -Frame 1 pummel go brrr but uhhh yeah after that you kinds got nothing. Best guide I've seen on YT, even puts some made by his mains to shame.
Making this for myself 1. Dash in and out to force attacks. 2.Roll behind when they start predicting 3.Just poke and stand still to confuse opponents 1.Up B is basically just a reversal 2. Neutral B can tank through multihits 3. Nair to catch unsuspecting opponents 4.counter to land
So. One time while playing SSBU Im a little Mac main who was fighting my friend playing as Link. They got their ultimate and when they fired and I up smashed getting those 3 frames of invulnerability.
But there are %windows to make upthrow usefull. On Battlefield you can make a tech-c on the middle Plattform. The window is higher then Dtilt into Downair into Upsmash. Its upthrow doublejump uptilt upB. I got a few stocks with this because no one does that stuff
I allways love watching the combos & neutral videos... but, can you make a guide on a good characters? Like the only chararcters you made guides on that was above mid tire was seph, m2, cloud and miib...
