My daughter and I stayed there back around 2017 or 2018. We stayed in the Little Mermaid section. The walk was way too far to the main building. So each morning I drove up to the front and walked in to get my coffee and then back to our room. We try to always eat breakfast in our rooms to save money. We have stayed in every value resort at least once and about ten times at All Star Music. I am a musician so I love that resort. But with Disney's greedy high prices these days, I won't stay on property any longer. But would love to.
Great video, very useful info. quick question - is the nighstand bw 2 bed movable? I'm thinking abt combining two queen beds so my toddler wont fall off the bed.
I mean far for a value resort, but considering how far you can walk from your room to transportation from any other Disney resort it’s really not that bad but it is the furthest away
This video was awesome! We are going to Disney in a couple days and staying in this room. And I really wanted to watch a detailed video about the room and what to expect and you deff did it the best! Thank you for all the info! Great video!
@@tanyasharadamba1264 We loved it .. The resort was fantastic and the Sky Liner transportation was so convenient .. The food court was incredible. We would/will stay there again.
My name is Craig Dennis did you have a nice thanksgiving i watch your new videos all the time and i in joy all of your videos all the time you have a nice safe evening👍👍👍👍👍👍
Sup Demi! I stayed at Pop Century in 2009. At that time, what is now the Art of Animation was actually the abandoned other half of Pop Century. It was a somber sight. I’m glad they were able to turn it into one of the cutest resorts in Disney World. This is listed as a Value Resort, but with its prices, it would be better suited listed as a Moderate. With that said, I think it’s fantastic for families, but I think there are better options for everyone else. It’s still very cute though.
Prices are about enough to cover three hours of massage time, 12 in-room movies including several adult features, five shoe shines and $400 worth of snacks. Not to mention the damage to the room.
@@kates7277Kate, you don't understand! My... my friend had fleas! I ran into the gas! It could have killed me! And my... my other friend couldn't taste his peaches! They're only good for two weeks!
Nice video Demi! It looks very nice there and yes I think you pay the extra for the theming. This would be a one and done with me. Meaning I went and experienced it but would rather pay cheaper somewhere else with the same amount of theming.
I think if I'm in the park all day I wouldn't spend the money to stay there. If I wanted to have a rest day though, this would be an ideal room to spend the day at.
But you lose the early entry to the parks and you save $$ on parking I think it’s a win win my opinion last year I was at art of animation in July we booked for mermaid and when we got there we were promoted to the lion king suite
Great video! Subscribed. I will say, we stayed here in September, and just checked in for a stay at All Star Sports, which I feel like everyone regards as the worst resort on property. While the theming is superior in AoA (and it’s not even close in that department), the room in All Star Sports is absolutely nicer and more functional. Things felt quite a bit outdated in Art (like the bathroom area curtains for example; the other value resorts have doors) but all of the fixtures clearly have been given a recent face-lift in All Star Sports. Totally understand why people stay at Art, but I can honestly say I won’t anymore after the renovations that have gone on in the other value resorts.
I have to choose between Port Orleans Resort, This one, and Coronado Springs Resort. I missed out on the All-Stars cuz they booked out on the day I'm going for Spring Break,
OMG i was right! i called them tinny octopuses (or squid can´t remember it was last month) but I called the coat hangers tinny octopuses. I always do (Even when they´re not in the shape of them). My home at Disney is the French Quarter, so sadly i will not, plus The Little Mermaid isn´t on my top favorite movies ever but the room was adorable.
AofA is a great option for large families or better yet multiple families who can split the cost! I still say POP til ya drop! (And TBH, Little Mermaid isn’t my favourite IP…)
Love this video! Thank you for the detailed tour! We will be staying in an Ariel room in June; the first time we've stayed anywhere but ASM in years - so this just adds to the excitement!
We stayed there last Christmas. I agree with everything you said, but the food at the food court was very good to us! Don't skip on their pizza. it is awesome!
Our first trip to Disney in January 2023 we stayed at AOA Little Mermaid Room. Our room was so far from the lobby and for what the rooms cost I had an issue with that. I also had foot surgery a couple years prior and try to limit walking when possible. I did request a closer room and we were actually moved to a family suite in the Cars section which was such an upgrade for both location and size of the room. It was also close to laundry and buses. I really was glad I asked instead of being unhappy with the walk back and forth to get food or on the buses.
Last time we stayed at Pop Century we walked over to check out AofA and ate at Landscape of Flavors. We weren’t very impressed to be honest. The rooms look fun tho.
