The fact that Perrie and Jade are both from the same town, therefore have the same accent, yet, Perrie doesn’t understand a word that comes out of Jade’s mouth😂
It could be that their parents have different back grounds. Had a neighbor girl you couldn’t understand and I overheard her parents talking at the market. They don’t annunciation when they were talking
@@larrie9491 Na it’s nothing to with that, Jade just has a proper Georgie accent, whereas Perrie has a relatively normal Newcastle-Esque accent. Not everyone from Newcastle is a Geordie, it’s a specific type of speech.
Perri is from whiteleas area which isn't as strong as Laygate where Jade is from. Even though they are both from South Shields accents vary from area to area
@@amywilliams9415Yeah, it's like when you are born and raised in downtown city and you met someone born and raised in the same city but in the farms area and they have that country accent different from you even you are from the same city.
This video comes up in my shorts every now and then and every single time I'm amazed at their accents lol I didn't know they sounded like that before. I love their accents.
@@aliciax5854 they don’t speak like they sing. before this video i’ve never heard them talk at all really so it’s just surprising how distinct their accents are (i’m taking about perrie&jade) but i’m also not a big fan, i just know of them and a few songs, like most people
British people should make a sitcom about how Americans can't understand their different accents. For everyone commenting that American accents are hard to follow, I'm an American.
Americans have really varying accents depending on the region where they are from. For instance, a Bronx New York or Long Island accent is VERY different from a Louisiana Cajun accent! Look them up lol a thick Cajun accent sounds like nothing you’ve ever heard before.
I understand all kinds of accents,asian, african, american ☺️i only met people who speak like this once🤣 was on vacation, i was so shocked that i had to repeat everything twice in my heard to het what they were saying🤭🤭
My friends dad was Scottish & my dad was English with a broad Bradford accent. We had to interpret for each other as neither one of us could understand the others dad 😂
@@maca76 i fully agree but its probably because theyre expecting a more drastic change between syllables? like theyre trying to get them to say it with their accents but the way they pronounce it has a much more subtle switch in tone so instead of EE-yehn its just EE-n

And oh, I just got recommended to this video randomly (even though I am not a hard-core fan of this girl group but my roommate who is from Spain is and it is very interesting because when she first arrived in the UK, she had major anxiety because of accents since she thought that everyone that lives in London is from North lmao)
I love that when these people say a word differently then it is their "quirky accent" and when a non english speaker says something differently then "they are wrong."
Except nobody actually says that. And these are ancient English accents that have existed as long as the language itself. They are native English speakers, just speaking in local accents and dialects. Trust me, they face plenty of discrimination too. Accent discrimination is a really big deal. Even in this video they are making fun of them. And guess what? You’re adding to that snobbery.

I am not familiar with Little Mix but I think they are adorable because of this clip and because I also like watching the Derry Girls! I think they sound the same.
Noooooo Geordie accent is from a completely different country, I'm beside Derry (Donegal) and l do say words like they do, north of Ireland , Scotland and Newcastle have some pronunciations the same or similar.
It always makes me laugh that jade and perrie are the geordies but perrie losed the accent and is basically jade the geordie now. But when perrie gets mad or defensive, the geordie comes out of her like a cannonball 🤣
