Anna Thirlwall I think they meant that even though little mix auditioned as solo artists they eventually bonded into one powerful group while 5h were always just solo artists in a group trying to stand out in their own way :)

The big difference is when LM harmonize, they look at each other (idk why, but assuming for some connection thing) while FH just focused on the sound and vocals.
It's cracking me up that you can see Ally conducting some cutoffs, and yet have the time it still isn't clean. But I think you're right, LM look at each other because they enjoy each other's presence, and this helps them stay together. 5H, not so much.

Yes, I think that was the mean reason. With the girls of Little Mix they were all in it together and stayed together, wanting to be together and not outshining one another. While with 5H it might've started like that, but they all wanted their own career and thus the group didn't stay strong together.
I think it was good that Camilla left fith harmony, it's like she's trying to out sing the others and show off better for her to show off by herself and for the others to sing without her
I never liked when there is special person from a group they try to get more focus on. Fifth Harmony always had Camilla as their youngest, same for One Direction with Harry. It may or may not have been earned but it's never fair to the others, which is why i loath every minute of it. They are not "backsingers" they have their fair share of work. This is why i adore that moment from X Factor and i'll never forget it. I don't even remember which judge was it, when they tried to "outcompliment" Perrie and she was shaking her head while the judge(s) tried this. The camera felt always more on Perrie, they tried to make it a competion, to get a rivalization and drama for the show and they never had it and never will thank god. They don't have a frontwoman, they are group of equally talented, brave and gorgeous women who didn't give into this crap. They had the chance, didn't bite and tbh this is a huge reason why they are still so great and successful. They are companion to each other which is their best feature in my opinion. (Sorry for the long comment this was sitting on me for a while)
With fifth harmony 2 would do the same harmony so the lower parts always stick out a little more that the rest of the harmony’s Started as a harmonizer and I still listen to some of their music but I transitioned to becoming a mixer halfway through fifth harmony’s journey and over never been disappointed with little mix
as a former harmonizer and now a mixer, i think 5h blend really well when one doesn't try to stick out more but little mix are just such a unit that they match up perfectly every single time
Honestly 5H could have really gone far had they really focused on working together as a group. I feel like you can really see that in their early clips where they are acoustic. Because they really are good singers individually, but unfortunately they just didn’t click together and didn’t put in that work of supporting each other.
Honestly, this is the first video I have seen of 5H harmonizing, I would say that they all are very talented and harmonize well. I still think LM is better but I think if the 5H girls had good, real friendship then they would have done so much better and would still be together. Now, by no means am I trying to disrespect them but I feel that they sounded so good together to me that I would still want them to sing together.
there was so much tension and drama in 5H. they were just solo artists forced into a band. in most of their performances, they’re just focusing on their own voices and trying to out sing each other. little mix are clearly very good friends and they work so well as a group. they communicate and focus on each other when performing, which is why their voices blend so nicely. 5H sound okay, but they don’t have the chemistry LM do

Little mix have better harmony than the fifth harmony but when fifth harmony were only 4 it had better sound than little mix , listen please feels cover by fifth harmony you'll understand
5H are extremely talented women, no doubt about that. I don't think their blend is quite as good as LM's tho, because 5H seems to rely heavily on being properly balanced, which is an issue when you have people trying to overshadow each other.
Here's my Analysis: 5H actually had a great blend (unpopular opinion) but would sound messy or unpolished because of someone wanting to stand out. (Yes I am talking about Camila) even than the other girls had their fair shares of mishaps too. 5H used their harmonies very cleverly knowing they can't replicate it live they used a lot of ad-libbed harmonies. Which are actually great, I really enjoy their ad-libbed harmonies especially in "Going nowhere" & "We know". Unfortunately they fell apart and in their last album they barely harmonized. But their harmony was very tight. (Which is a good thing). And what can I say bout LM. They are just Harmony Queens. Thanks for reading hope you enjoyed my analysis.
Little Mix always focused on being one sound. Fifth Harmony was always 5 solo singers singing solos and harmonies. When it comes to blend, it’s Little Mix. No question.
Little Mix's voices blend so well even when they're on the same line and sounds like heaven when they harmonize mixing up their voices and play with notes 5H well, they're sing pretty well
I adore Little Mix and i am sorry for the fact Fifth Harmony broke up. The Fifth Harmony had the same potential, they were unique, incredible voices and theirs fit together great too. It's a shame the personalities and the rivalries poisoned the group. I wish every group what we see in Little Mix for almost a decade now. Their friendship and the mature ability to work together and say no the toxic stuff media has everybody to do. Plus fans who don't make rivalization out of everything because that's really toxic too.
Jayah Anne right now there’s only a pesy video. I’m probably going to do a jadesy one. The reason for those two is that they’re my favorite ships. I’m not sure if I’m going to do any of the other ships (as far as LM5 tour moments) but if I do they won’t be coming out for a while.

I never was like a big fan of 5H and I only know song that were on radio. They wasn't bad, they could be a really great girl group worldwide. Some of their harmonise were great but they blends better without Camilla. It's not only about her doing all this staff to stand out. I think that her voice just didn't fit the voices of the rest. Little mix are queens because they understand that it's about all 4 of them when they singing harmonise. They still can show their beautiful voices and blend it perfectly.
the name 5th harmony makes no sense for that group because all the members were always focusing on themselves and trying to stand out meanwhile little mix actually know how to harmonize
I would love to wish and pretend that Fifth Harmony is so much better, but now as I’m getting into Little Mix, and they are genuinely made to “Mix”. What everyone is saying is true, Fifth Harmony really was a group of soloists that took their chance to continue in the industry as a group, and while they were good friends, at the end of the day, their original goal was to be solo, which is why they each now are. Little Mix may have started as soloists, but as they learned and met each other, they wanted to be together, rather than being solo. And I saw someone say how Fifth Harmony is more ad-libbed harmonies, whereas Little Mix actually sings their harmonies. There is a significantly less amount of singing at the same time for Fifth Harmony, and more the little background things together, and Little Mix sings like their chorus’ together and such, not just the background sounds like “OOOH’s” and “AHH’s”. I think Fifth Harmony would’ve had such a better chance if they started the same way as Little Mix, where they wanted to be a band and blend together, rather than one voice on their own. Idk if any of my words make sense but I don’t think it matters cuz this comment is so late from the video release lol. Also just have to say it, the accents also make Little Mix sound amazing when singing, idk if it’s just me, especially since it does go away more when they sing, but it’s like the thought of those little accented sounds that I love LOL. But to be fair that isn’t to the bands controls hehe.
I think the problem in Fifth Harmony was, that they were simply better alone. Lauren, Camila and Normani (my opinion) should’ve NEVER been put in a group because they were so underrated in the beginning. Camila is so good on her own and in the Fifth Harmony times she stood out (if with intention or not 🤷🏿♀️), Lauren is not a girly girl and she hated the music they produced. She is much better now, on her own, with her R&B stuff and it fits her sooo well (Lauren stan sorry haha). And Normani was the entire time so underrated! I mean, Motivation is a bop people. Furthermore it’s always hard for dark-skinned people do be liked in a group because of this shitty society. And everybody noticed it! Yeah and in the end it was a time full of learning and very important for them, I just hope that my baby Lauren becomes more attention #stream50ft. ✌🏼 And Little Mix is simply the best girlband in the world :) But I’m not that much a fan as I was like a year ago because the music is a bit too much radio/pop for me. I loved Lm5 so much, that was the music I like, it was not about boys and love it was about something more important than that. But that’s just my opinion! No hate and just love for both groups of people, they are all so talented and gorgeous :) (Sorry for the looong comment and I’m not english so sorry for the mistakes)
Little Mix idk why but its like they do all together and thats what makes it so much better with Fifth Harmony did it they cut it up and i didnt like that thats my opinioin
my take on the 5h vs lm thing has always been every one in 5h wanted to be the melody so nobody tried hard enough on harmonies. i think if they had worked out who should sing each part in a way that sounded good, people would be less likely to call them "messy". you can tell that over the yrs with lm they've changed up harmonies, who sings the melody who sings the high harmonies low harmonies etc. they've made a conscious effort to make sure their voices sounded as blended and harmonious as possible, whereas 5h just wanted to put music out and sing whatever they wanted. i agree with an earlier comment that 5h was good at ad-libbing harmonies, but that doesn't do anything for the studio versions on streaming sites.
Honestly I’m a mixer but 5H ain’t bad too . I never knew them until a year after they disbanded and idk why but hated them . Watching this video shows they also aren’t that bad . This is just my opinion but i thought little mix was the best and fifth harmony was also pretty good but mainly because of Camilla Cabello. Her voice is the one that makes their songs better. My opinion
I think both is very good and successful band, but i'm gonna choose Little Mix, cause they know where they limit and they position when they singing together, and one thing i loved from Little Mix, they can still stand strong together as girl gruop until right now, but Fifth Harmony they been break up...
The difference between Little Mix & Fifth Harmony is that each Fifth Harmony member was meant to be a solo artist. 5 solo artists together in a girl group is just too much. Rather than Little Mix each girl has one piece of the puzzle that creates a unique and powerful solo artist voice and the other missing pieces is the other girls voices that creates a strong and powerful melody or tune together.
I love Camila, but I saw that when she was in the group she always broke the harmony because her voice stood out more instead of becoming one with the others
Because they're one of the most recent and successful girl groups. I'm also planning to continue this series with other girl groups, some of them disbanded way more than 2 years ago. Is that a problem?
@@gotthegood2429 I understand the frustration because the fandoms are immature but comparing isn't inherently degrading. This video just shows how the groups approached similar harmonies and similar types of performances. Live lounge, acapella, foreign language, same vowels, etc.
Normani were the salvation of Fifth Harmony's harmonies and the best dancer, Ally and Dinah were the most powerful voices in the group and even so, they were underrated af. Lauren and Camila saved themselves.
