In no lifetime beyond this will there ever be another Little Richard. He was a gift to the world. He changed the world with his music and he had the power to move people. Till this day, I'll play little Richard's music in my car and my son who is 15 absolutely loves his music and started taking up piano because of Little Richard. Thank you for giving my son and I something we can bond to.
Long live Little Richard! First heard Little Richard 50 years ago I finally got to see him live about 4 years ago. What a thrill of a lifetime! He was electrifying - put on a great show... his dark eyes were flashing and he had the whole crowd rockin'! He's still got it!
Rest in peace Lil Richard. I bet there's a lot of shaking going on in the heavens above. Family, fans are with you now.🕺💃 Your music will live on forever!! Thank you ♥️🙏
Who's talking about Stars of today? Everyone knows that Little Richard was and will always remain a Super Star ✨ in his memory and I'm sure that we all will see his legacy to be cherished for decades to come ! He invented the Whoo, which is why the Beatles adapted his contribution to their success !
I saw Richard 'live' on stage with Sounds Incorporated and the shows were amazing. At one point he collapses on the stage amid a pool of sweat and appears to be unconscious. Members of Sounds Incorporated rush and try to revive him. They appeal for any doctors in the audience. The Safety Curtain is brought down and there is pandemonium in the theatre. The safety curtain goes up and Richard jumps up to the piano and goes straight into 'Good Golly Miss Molly'. Amazing. The crowd went wild.
WOOOORD music is soooooooooooooooooooooooo good i cant believe it im 17, listened to that when i was 12 and got laughed at now i remember the old things, and i know whats the virtues, whats the skills and i know that IT AINT WHEEZY it aint soulja boy, it aint drake shid, my greatest wish was to live back in the days, these times
Man , Little Richard is One hell of A Rock N Roll Artist ! This Kat Knows how to blow that microphone ! His voice was and still is ike no one else ever in the World. I wish he was still alive. Now This is Quality Music ! Like He says... He ain't fak' n ! ! !
Saw him twice, At the paramount in New York in 1957 then again after his return from England at a road House in Seattle in Late 1964 the Greatest Live Show You ever saw in your life.
I’ve watched this video so many times, I’ve lost count. An incredible performance. Credit too, to the backing band, who are simply superb too. Why don’t we have times like this anymore? 😢.
Johnnie Hamp's wonderful Granda TV probramme featuring arguably the most exciting performer of the early rock'n'roll years. What an extraordinary explosion of talent there was in the 1950s.
Wow! What a voice! Such passion. You just don't hear that kind of raw, unpolished emotion anymore in these days of auto-tuning and slick studio effects. Also, this video has immense historic value: it is incontrovertible evidence that white males suffer from a tragic dancing deficiency (FYI I'm white LOL)!!! Maybe it's genetic. No doubt Elvis is The King. But let us never forget Little Richard. He is forever (and in his own words)... The QUEEN Of Rock N' Roll! Rock on, Your Majesty, rock on!
It's a "WHOLE LOTTA SHAKIN GOING ON ", always when RICHARD was performing he played mostly UPBEAT music. Folks had to get up and dance. ROCK ON RICHARD!!!..GREAT MUSIC!!
always thought ABBA was the greatest rock group ever but Little Richard Rocks he vocals blend in the with lyrics of the song the same way with ABBA when they sang actually this was his peak performance in his career because he was not yet spoiled by his own success like with ABBA...he was born in 1932 ahead of his time a freak of nature... if Tina Turner & Little Richard ever born a child what a talent that would have been male or female
This was done in his 2nd comming, there is a studio version from his first comming, no matter he is fantastic. you had to see him in person, the best Live show on Earth.
I saw the VH1 Metal Evolution on the TV the other day,the shock-rock episode. I heard a raw and raunchy version of whole lotta shakin with Little Richard and this was the one. Thanks for sharing :)
I love the way the croud surge on to the dance floor as soon as Ricky opens his mouth, The guitar solo part @ 2:30 when he takes his blazer off...... My God this is so Gangster, How the hell do i get this exact version on MP3? I desperately need this in my car!
Amazing , he gets made fun of cause of how he carried himself in his older years , but this is unreal , u we would be lucky go have someone perform with that kinda skill and energy today , what a great performance
@dudezsazsa The version of Jerry Lee is superb, with HIM exploding on the stage. Richard's version is superior, HE MAKES THE AUDIENCE EXPLODE and he leads that explosion. That's because he is a son of a preacher. I think he learned with his father how to handle the audience. He acts like a preacher in most moments of this song. His last gesture at the end of the song, meaning "I gave you all", is great. I listen to this version over & over Excuse my english if I made mistakes.
@riotsquad66. It's a big thing to say 'the greatest concert ever filmed',but it's true -certainly I haven't seen anything better, and it's no small thanks to the Shirelles, Sounds Incorporated and the audience that it turned out so good. Little Richard had the best Rock n' Roll voice of them all and here he looks so young and vibrant. This is what it's like to be really alive!
This video, an amazing performance by the Little Richard, gets almost 80,000 views and some stupid puppet like Justin Bieber gets millions? Man, something's very wrong in the world.
The greatest live concert ever filmed. Criminal that this hasn`t been properly released on DVD. Anyone got clips from the Shirelles opening performance?
LIKE JOHAN SEBASTIAN BÄCH, ARETHA FRANKLIN, HENDRIX, ELMORE JAMES & ROBERT JOHNSON. IN THE FIRMAMENT LITTLE RICHARD IS ALSO A TRULY UNIVERSAL GENIUS. JESUS CHRIST I LOVE EVERY INCH OF HIM. GIANNI MAXIMILIAN BENNETT. ENGLAND.
