Hey everyone! 🪕🌞 Another Thursday (or I guess 2 hours post midnight Thursday) another banjo cover 🌸
Here is my take on Little Sadie! Played in a schmelly ‘ol trunk. This take cut a bit short because my phone is having issues with storage, which I was not able to reconcile, but I will upload a full cover some day!💛

This was one of the first tunes I learned on banjo! I would recommend the Brainjo tab for this song. His channel is great for getting rhythm down

Now, "little sadie in a trunk" would be an entirely different song, a much darker one.

Haha yeah, definitely generally a dark song, but I thought I’d make it a bit more van themed with similar macabre

First time I heard this was a Doc Watson recording. Our Bass player Kayt's wife collects old murder ballads. Don't think I've heard her sing this one. I should ask her how many she's collected. Well done as always. Ever thought of doing Caleb Meyer. At least with that one the guy gets done in. I enjoy singing that one.

I have to know what that chord is. I've never heard anyone play a version with it! It gives it such a dissonant old timey sound!

I can’t remember where I found the tab for this one, but when I first started learning, I found a free tab with this chord in it somewhere on the internet!
