A very special find! Here is the first act of Little Shop of Horrors, performed by the original Broadway cast. This was recorded by an audience member on September 16, 2003 during a preview performance. Accompanying the audio is pictures from the production, pictures from the rehearsal process, and a few stand-alone photos of Kerry Butler and Hunter Foster (a few including his sister Sutton).
(NOTE: The picture from 08:57 through 11:11 is from the Broadway tryout in Florida, featuring Lee Wilkof, the original Seymour, as Mushnik. The opportunity to include a picture of the original Seymours shaking hands was too much to pass up.)
The cast includes Hunter Foster as Seymour, Kerry Butler as Audrey, Michael-Leon Wooley as Twoey, Rob Bartlett as Mr. Mushnik, Douglas Sills as Orin (and "everyone else"), DeQuina Moore as Chiffon, Trisha Jeffrey as Crystal, Carla J. Hargrove as Ronette, and Don Morrow as the prerecorded voice of the opening narrator.
