Of course, he is, they are all villains! they're not upstanding citizens, are they?! They're villains who don't know any other way out from villainy but we sympathize with them because they reveal a human and ethical side toward their families and friends but within the gang rival context, they're stone-cold villains! they do have a choice and they've chosen crime. That's when the viewer realizes that they're villains also for buying the drugs that cause this mayhem in the first place. We're all guilty.

Top Boy is more realistic, especially season 1 (this 3rd season definitely is less realistic). No battyboy running around ends like that catching bare bodies and surviving for as long as he does.

John Walker so you saying Top Boy is more realistic than The Wire? I don’t think so, The Wire gives you a real look into American “ends” local government and police. I don’t even believe that Top Boy made getting guns realistic in London. Your gangs uses knives and acid more than anything.

Coming from someone that actually lives in London i can say it is very realistic. I think every show has some exaggeration to it and top boys one was the level of gun violence and the police hardly being around. Also, there are guys making money who still live in council flats due to the fact that it's hard to get a mortgage without legal documentation of your income and other information. And etc
