Dion and Gobi visited the Little Things online television channel and co-hosted the show 'Refresh' with presenter Cassie Morris. Here's part of the show discussing all things Finding Gobi.
He really is the winner.....not only would he have won if he had just left Gobi, Thank goodness hes a real man an didn't. But, that is what a true hero is....helping those in need who cant help themselves an that are defenseless. I LOVE people like this!! Now hes even saving strays.....people like this is the back bone of our country!! WE all are helping in ways we can, by volunteering, donating money, beds, blankets, food, etc, helping a stray on street, a lost dog, feeding an trapping stray cats or dogs, telling others about animals in need, teaching others about spaying/ neutering, posting on social media and all the things alot of us try to do. It truly does matter!! I remember when I was told about how many kittens a cat could have in a year, about puppy mills, trap an spay, clipping of ears, dog festival, fostering and opening up space for another in need.....an lots more. But I wasn't taught a whole lot about anything when growing up, some people need to be taught about animals, some of us are just ignorant ( speak for myself). Thanks Dion for being a great man!! Prov 12; 10
What an amazing little dog and his owner. An owner who thought more of the little dog than winning a race that he so wanted to win. Amazing how this tiny dog changed so many lives. So wonderful to see something so positive.💖💖💖
Obviously this dog has chosen you ! They come into our lives to heal & help us be a better person. You & wife are very blessed, as you must feel now. Many more blessings with your journey together. 😇😀🐶🐕☮. Sara
My goodness, this man sacrificed winning a race to rescue this little dog. What a guy. All us animal lovers admire and respect him, what a lucky little dog. ❤
Just amazing. My daughter ran with a bigger dog for about 7 miles. The dog darn near passed out. I had to drive him home. Now this shorter legs in a lot hotter weather. Wow
Dion Leonard is a gracious champion; in his humility, he rarely mentions his impressive second-place finish, focusing instead on the real prize he brought home. Small wonder this larger-than-life love story is being made into a movie, as it has all the features of the classic "hero's journey," with Leonard as the hero who faces trials, surmounts crises, emerges victorious, but most poignantly, returns home changed and transformed... with his adorable little "underdog" in tow. This story is curiously reminiscent of another recent and equally remarkable story - that of Swedish adventure-racer, Mikael Lindhorn, who was likewise "adopted" by the stray dog his team named "King Arthur." Though larger than Gobi, Arthur is an equally adorable & scruffy "Disney dog," who traverses 100 miles of Amazonian terrain at Lindhorn's side, to eventually "find his way home," as a much-loved family dog in Sweden. While you're on RU-vid, watch the beautifully made video, entitled, "A Dog's Remarkable Journey to Find Home," as Lindhorn recounts the bond he and Arthur forged; at the 12:00 mark, he tearfully, unashamedly recalls saving Arthur as, "the single best thing I've ever done." In saving Gobi, I somehow think Dion Leonard would say the same.
Thanks for the other dog story......cant get enough of animals! Love them! OMG.....Another great story, Thanks!! I'm sad that Arthur didn't get the love an attention that Gobi had. The story is almost exactly the same........beautiful story an when he cries.......touching an seeing how compassionate these 2 men are about saving their dogs is heart felt.....and inspiring!
+Suzannah Troy … My little rescue dog falls asleep when I talk and when I play my ukulele! It's probably down to familiarity, as it is with Dion giving all these interviews! If HMV wasn't in such dire straights, Gobi could be the new doggy model of His (Her) Master's Voice!
Gorgeous Gobi with her dad, who has a heart of gold. Their story is nothing short of a miracle. Dogs bring healing and consolation and they teach us so much more than we know. I wish Peace and All Good to Dion, Lucja, Lara the Cat and Gobi XOXOXOXOXOXO
Sound's like that sweet lil Gobi helped 2 heal the hurt boy n bring out the amazing man living within Dion Lenord - the man he was running 2 meet! What a great Spiritual story of a deep healing miracle that happen's all the time.... Gobi may have been u'r mum in a past life : )
Absolutely loved this story, very inspirational bond ...one of the best things in life. I've also been following the China monkey Xing Xing too, very cute story.
Gobi does not look like a regular dog. Is she part something else? Or are dogs just different in China? She looks like some other kind of animal to me!
