The Little Uke Group was formed in 2019 by some members of the Chinese Community Church Ukulele and Hula Fellowship who were too shy to step to the front of the stage. Founding members Deborah Dunn, Dianne Louie and Keith Turner decided to meet every other week for the purpose of practicing songs frequently played by the CCC group in the hopes of gaining the skills and courage necessary to feel comfortable playing in public.
When the pandemic shut everything down, the Little Uke Group continued to meet every week over Zoom, with each member choosing a song to lead the rest of the group in playing.
Now, four years later, the Little Uke Group is comprised of ukulele players who are skilled and confident enough to share their songs with the public. Making their world debut, here is the Little Uke Group, featuring Deborah Dunn, Dianne Louie, Keith Turner, Diane Rich and Debbie Fonseca.
