This has always been my thing with this scene. If you're a guy who's posing as Little Walter and a well dressed guy gets out of a smack brand new car asking which one of yall is Little Walter in a hostile manner. There may be a very real chance he's actually Little Walter and therefore you shouldn't cop to being Little Walter!
The way he played a Louisiana dude was spot on. The way he talks and moves and that temper our people got yeah he did that. We famous for that Creole temper.
His accent was spot on in some parts. My family from New Roads and Marksville. A few things was a lil off but Columbus Short did damn good. I just wish they woulda had him learn some Creole cause Little Walter use to speak in Louisiana Creole French when angry. I'm creole, I get pissed off very easily.
So Sonny Boy Williamson II should have been shot? No way. Remember the II was added by other people, he called himself just Sonny Boy Williamson therefore stealing other legend's name on purpose
I love this movie because these dudes were my grandparents generation ...My mother said back in the late 1940's and 50 my granddad dressed the way they dressed ..And my grandfather was from rural TN ...
Muddy was responsible for a lot of things Walter ended up doing that he had no business doing... at least in the film. He is the one who got Walter addicted to booze not long after they first met despite Walter having never been a drinker up to that point. In the end Muddy did love Walter like a brother but I think he also was too ashamed to admit his role in Walter's self-destruction and he most definitely had a role in it... even though it was unintentional.
these comments are so serious. I mean honestly who gives AF about AC & all this other bullshit. The scene was hilarious & it was kinda cute how he was cutting his eyes when he 1st saw the truck lol.

Pure fiction. Walter did carry, however. At least one band member quit when he brandished one, probably a .32, on stage. Muddy carried as well. Probably Wolf, too.

Watched this in class and I yelled "Did he die?!". Stupid looks and satirical comments ensued. Seriously it looks like he may have been hit in the arm.
U think Lil Walter was killed the same way a lot of Sam Cooke and others in the ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS.... Some die in car wrecks,some in shootings,plane crashes, poisoned, drug overdose or giving lengthy prison sentences... etc...C'mon just look at who ended up with all their music 🤦🏾♀️
That was sick. I'm not even sure if it has any basis in fact. But, regardless, what's so sickening is the way the movie treats the whole scene so nonchalantly... as if the guys in the car had done nothing more than make a quick pit stop.
Like cops did not do that in Chicago all the time its sick in black films but godfather movie it ok to just go in a restaurant and shoot up anybody on site
