That would literally boost the sales of the PS5 if that were the case. Though seeing as Sony sees the PS5 on its last legs perhaps the potential success of a new LBP game could change their minds
Thanks to leaks from the UK a year or two ago, the PS6 was slated for late 2027 or sometime in 2028 which is roughly around the same amount of years or more between the gap of PS4 to PS5. So them saying its on its last legs is just double downing that we're three or four years away from next gen.
I believe in them. Their games were my childhood, and they put so much heart into the franchise. I just hope they can still be happy and be able to put as much heart into the new lbp as the ones before if they are really making one.
For me i'd fucking give my first born child to play lbp4 and if they somehow get the servers of lbp 1 / 2 (maybe 3) to work and all of the lvls, costumes, profiles AND items/stickers I WILL FLIP MY SHIT and play it religiously like i did back than i will fly to the moon and back just to get the game it'll be the closest thing to being in heaven for me
Just so everyone knows, the footage that shows the stiff sackboy walking around is from media molecules ps4 game Dreams, which is a lot like LBP, where you can make your own 3d games for others to play. Its also supported for VR.
There is a chance that this “multiplayer project” is the long awaited LittleBigPlanet Hub…it was never announced that the game was canceled. It could just be in severe production hell. My personal theory is that at first, they had Sumo Digital working on the game but decided to part ways with them most likely after seeing what happened with LBP 3 and not wanting to repeat the past. After letting go Sumo Digital they could’ve next invited Media Molecule to come work on it and they might’ve said yes. However that’s only a theory and it’s highly unlikely this is actually what happened but it’s still a possibility!
Little Big Planet is one of the only videogame series that I actually have an emotional connection to, and a very strong one at that. I would genuinely cry tears of joy if a fourth game got announced

The first 2 LBP games did so well, I don’t see who made the decision to stop and hand off the franchise to Sumo Digital in the first place. Should’ve just kept doing LittleBigPlanet.
I sculpted that Sackboy back in the early beta days, which someone frankensteined into a scary organism. One of the best things about Dreams is seeing where your random creations end up.
Perhaps the controller is purple because the logo of LittleBigPlanet 4 will be purple as well, I think purple makes the most sense as it is visually appealing and also a more gender neutral colour that is distinct from the other colours used in previous LittleBigPlanet titles on the colour wheel.
the amount of people that will literally buy a ps5 for lbp4 is so large i dont know why they haven't done it yet. if they want cash so bad then they need to do what everyone wants.
The Most likely scenario and I do mean at most, probably a remaster of some of the games story and create mode. Maybe they’ll have the online too but probably for like a couple years at most.
Lbp4 would actually make me buy a ps5 I have a lot of nostalgia for the first 2 games played them when they first came out and are still some of my favourite games I’ve ever played
I don’t know if it’s just me but I really feel like the story for 1 and 2 connect better than 3 to either one and it feels kinda to disconnected to me, only thing I really did love about three was playing the older levels
I can understand pressure causing them to rush things, but GOD please do not make this be a repeat of LBP3's launch. Personally I never experienced issues with it, but I've heard enough to know that it shouldn't have been rushed to shelves the way it did. They should make it the best it can be, to surpass LBP 1 and 2 should've been LBP3's goal, but hopefully LBP4 will accomplish that. (Also can we have the LBP 1-3 story levels like how LBP Hub's beta had them, it would definitely add plenty of replayability if they won't just flat out give the 100% content of the previous two games like LBP3 did on PS5, unsure if it did the same on PS4)
sony has been releasing some pc ports on steam recently. i would absolutely love an LBP on pc, it has been my dream for a while. ive never payed more than like 40 dollars for a game, but I'd pay 70 for an official PC LBP
Please revive it! Even just a port! This community was fantastic, and I was roo little to experience it when the games came out! I really hope this happens.
Lbp 4 would be awesome, but tbh I'm still sad about the future of Dreams.. It should still receive support imo. Maybe LBP 4 could bring the more user friendly creation back into the fore
Why I need lbp4. Cause I played and beat all of them. (Not including sack boys adventure or some shit like that) It got me into taking platformers more seriously. It got me into trying to do no death runs because these games had bonus rewards for no lives lost. All the lbp games are fuckin goated
I think that would be really cool, I mean I wanted to like dreams, it’s a cool concept but it’s way too complicated imho when you try and get into it. I’d love to play a little big planet 4 :)
I wish they would rerelease Little Big Planet 1 & 2 as one game on Steam. (Imagine each game were a planet you could access from within the pod) I don't want 3 added because it overcomplicated the formula with the other characters and by having so many lanes to move between. 1 & 2 were perfect in their simplicity and the games felt more authentically creative because of the limitations
i would buy a ps5 for lbp4 100%. the only reason it flopped in the first place is because they were scummy with their release of lbp3 and divided the community between consoles. people loved the games. the only game i can compare lbp to is roblox and it's not even close. the creativity was so accessible, people went so far with their ideas. i remember full computers being made with mini games. and full length movies and series. the survival levels, roleplaying levels with jobs, hide and seek, slapsters, and insanely detailed platformers..... the community was amazing too, and the way you could personalize your planet and decorate it the way you want was great. the game was just insane and it leaves a massive void that no other game can fill. this is why i cry myself to sleep at night
If they released a new or remaster LBP and made it cross platform for PC, it would have massive potential. Especially when there are so few good games being released nowadays.
