I'd also love to learn more about CiCi, their first artist and creator of Kiana, Mei and Bronya and key people from hoyomix like Gon and especially TetraCalyx.

Liu Wei, or as the Honkai fans call him, Da Wei, an NPC in certain events. No joke, the guy put himself as an NPC in his own game. That's how big of an otaku he is.

i think genshin impact is latest games for mihoyo they didnt launch new game anymore, but if so many people leave genshin maybe they make a new game, i expect is MMORPG anime style, but we soon have Blue Protocol. this game is still bigger and bigger, we know liu dawei and his friend never give up, then this game we are choose is the best game ever, they will updating more more epic content for us this game is not otaku anymore, more like worldwide game with little bit story about other country like china,japan and all ages can play. respect for liu dawei never give up to try make a new game.
I don't think genshin will die anytime soon. Cuz the game is unique in it's own and very fun to play. So even a new game comes out people will just play both games instead of quitting Genshin.
The next Honkai game is more or less pretty much confirmed by the devs somewhere around 2023-24. Honkai Impact storyline will be ending two years from now and they already said that they're releasing their next Honkai game when that happens.

The problem is how money hungry and predatory the gambling aspect of the game is. It needs to be dialed back, if this company isnt greedy and they shouldnt be because theyre billionaires now, they should give more chances to these players. Ive never played Genshin and i dont play gachas, ive just seen kids really addicted to this game spending money they dont have just to play it

In the first place: spending money like crazy is gambling, which is the problem of the person, not the company Second: it is ridiculous to say that an automotive company makes a car to give it free or that its repairs are free, I simply see that you do not know about business because of what you say. Third: the game does not force people to put money in, not P2W like EA did with battle front, star wars etc. Fourth: when you die you will not take your money so if people have money, they can spend it however they want. That you are envious for not putting money into a game is already your problem or am I wrong?

Can you believe that they invest $200 MILLION dollars into genshin impact every year so we get 1-2 new heroes and 2 events a month? This is by no means the amount of money it costs.

Hiring composers and performers for Soundtracks and music, upkeeping the current code considering how huge the game is, voice acting, merchandise and branding (the emojis along cost millions), developing new aspects of the game, their employees are also very well-paid in the gaming industry etc more and more. It’s a very expensive game that requires a lot of upkeep. Am average game’s upkeep can cost a developer 50k to 750k depending on the size and success of the game and given genshin’s size and success 2 million is not a weird number, in fact I thought it’d be higher.
A lot of the money also goes into tackling scalability hurdles: infrastructure upkeep, running the servers, data storage, customer support, fighting legal battles... and not to mention the original code base is probably unoptimized and not the most performant, so as the player base grows, and the size of the game grows, a lot of money needs to be spent throwing software engineers at old code to optimize the heck out of everything and keep your file bundle size minimal
