I used to cross the Peace bridge when driving from Boston, passing through Buffalo, when driving to and from Niagara Falls and Hamilton to visit my grandparents. It was always an easy cross 30 years ago. Great video!

Sorry for missing your recent lives and premieres Christine, but I have been up to my eyeballs in various house projects that we had to put off for over tge last 2 years. Too bad you had to delay your trip to Buffalo but I am sure you will find a day when the traffic on the bridge is lighter. Been many many years since I have driven to Buffalo. Brings back many fond and sad memories ofwhen I used to drive over to watch the Bills football games with a good friend and had bone chilling tailgate parties at the stadium's parking lot before the games! Unfortunately our friend has passed on, so it is bittersweet recalling our trips to Buffalo. Great weather you had though and I hope you will get that again when you finally get across! ❤🙏👍🇨🇦
Lol John I understand how that goes…about 2 years ago we did Reno’s and it was weeks of construction. Nice walk Christine! Sorry your plans to go to Buffalo didn't work out. The American entry on the Peace Bridge has been very frustrating since Covid. They routinely only have one or two passenger car booths open. Several times on recent visits the wait to get back to the USA has been 30 minutes or more and that was at 9pm or later on a weekday! In the past crossing at that time would mean no wait. Luckily, on my most recent visit earlier this month the wait was only a few minutes but that was after 10pm. In my over 50 years of crosing over the Peace Bridge and going through Buffalo I don't think I have ever stepped foot in the city of Buffalo, lol. I just drive past it to get to Canada or to get home to Ohio. Buffalo does have a lot of nice old buildings and I've heard about Canalside for many years and it looks really nice. I just have never been motivated enough to actually visit there. I look forward to your visit there if the traffic on the bridge allows it. As dirtweed mentioned, that round structure is the water pumping station. We have one in Cleveland out in Lake Erie. We call it the water intake crib. It sucks in the lake water and pumps it to the water treatment plant, which then sends the water to our homes for drinking and washing. I think those balloon looking things on the wires are so that low flying aircraft/helicopters know there are wires there. Otherwise the wires are not easily visible. That little parking lot right next to the high wire tower and by Southsides Grill is always my first stop after crossing over the Peace Bridge. I always take a photo of the bridge and if the weather is nice, take the top down on my Jeep. I've always wanted to eat at the Southsides patio but I always arrive too early and they are never open. I also thought I could cross at the Rainbow bridge and drive down from there. I’ll also check the border wait times next time lol. I wasn’t thinking today… I was just excited to go explore. Sorry I missed your stream :(. I used to go over to Buffalo every year to do our christmas shopping back in the day lol. It was way cheaper to go over there to do it then stay here. Sad but true. Miss those days. When you go, you need to grab a delicious Dunkin Donuts coffee ;). its better then Tims >
