We enjoyed watching the parade Christine. Some nice float/vehicles and other vehicles. Enjoyed seeing some of the celebrities like Spiderman, but Santa always steals the show!

Someone expressed disappointment in the quality of the parade in the comments section. I am not from the Niagara Falls area but I have always loved the region and all it has to offer. While I am not able to visit for the past year, I noticed that some businesses and establishments have struggled with the drop of visitors during the covid and post pandemic years. Niagara had also been instrumental in aiding the transition of refugees from across the border by providing temporary local hotel accomodations. While this boosts hotel occupancy, it doesn't help local businesses who rely on tourists and visitors for their survival. With Winter and the dreaded low visitor season approaching, I wonder if local businesses who probably finance part of this parade, is feeling the pinch? In any case, judging from the enthusiastic crowds especially the kids and of course our host, they all seem to thoroughly enjoy the spirit of the season! Thanks again Christine for braving the cold and taking us along for the ride!

Hey Christine. I live in a suburb of Cleveland. My city does not have a Christmas parade but we do have a Christmas tradition going back decades that I loved as a kid and still look forward to today. The weekend two weeks before Christmas, Santa Claus visits every street in the city and passes out candy canes to kids and adults. His visit is announced by a truck playing Christmas music and loudspeaker telling us to come outside as Santa is not far behind. Then when Santa comes down the street he is escorted by a couple police cars with lights flashing. These days, his sleigh is pulled by a 4 wheeled quad and his sleigh is on wheels which is nicely decorated with lights. Santa stops for everyone who is outside to say hi and to get a candy cane. Back in the 70's his sleigh was pulled by an actual horse. The city of Cleveland does not have a parade either but they do have the annual Christmas light display and tree lighting downtown on public square. Santa usually hits the switch to turn on the lights and there is a fireworks display. There is also an outdoor skating rink on the square. The Cleveland Zoo also decorates beautifully for the holidays. My county fairgrounds also has a fantastic holiday light show. Since Covid, the Zoo and fairgrounds were drive thru. Before Covid, you could walk through the light displays. I haven't heard if this year will be drive or walk thru. I'm looking forward to your video of the Winter Festival of Lights. Last time I was in Niagara for the WFOL was in January of 2020. It is always so beautiful!

Not to change the discussion of the parade but being a avid vistour of niagara , I always look at the tthe skies since i had a ufo sighting back in 2008. well saw one i think in your video. At the 2:29 time stamp a dark object to the right in the sky, at 2:40 it shoots straight up into the sky, at 4:30 the object moves very fast to the left and stops, at 5:01 moves left and stops ,at 5:19 it shoots straight up and disappears ,at 5:30 it reappears moves up fast and disappears, at 5:32 reappears, you'll see it has a bright white light then shoots straight up into the sky ,gone by the 5:36 time stamp...But i must say thank you for the parade shoot , did enjoy...Peace

I do know that someone was flying a drone for a lot of the parade in the area in front of me …is that possibly what you saw? Where did you see a UFO in 2008? I was really disappointed in this parade I thought Niagara Falls would do a better job the parade was basically a big rolling advertisement and a bunch of social groups and high schools Not a real parade glad we didn't go to Niagara Falls for it
