Hi Ladies, awesome video and greetings from Oregon. I bought this car 4 months ago as a retirement present to myself. I was looking for a sensible sedan that still had Attitude and sure found it here in the Sonata N Line. As far as launch control, I've tried it, it works, but I likely won't use it again since the car is so fast off the line without it. The car puts plenty of use able power down even without a LSD. And besides, tire chirp on occasion is fun and smile making, even for an older guy like me. As you showcase your Canadian car, I notice there's quite a few features we don't get on the US version of this car ( and that I wish I had ). We don't get: memory seats, heated steering wheel, power mirrors, rear vents, and heated seats. I wonder about the logistics with this Hyundai decision. The Australian car gets all the features, too. Regardless, I think Hyundai hit it out of the park with this car, so glad they are upping horsepower while the other Big Players are emasculating their vehicles just for a few MPG.

In Australia, we only get the N-Line. Still, it has spare tyre, heated & cooled front seats, heated rear outside seats, back window shades and auto rear window shade, 360 cameras, head-up display, in-dash video camera display of blind spot when indicating, "easy access function" - driver's seat, rear map pockets on both front seats, electric and remote boot opening and closing, blind-spot view monitor, surround view monitor, parking distance warning - forward/side/reverse audible and screen display. Using the Bluelink I can remote start and have the cars climate controls do their job including preheating the steering wheel, the seats; and checking on my car and taking photos of its surroundings remotely. The rear view camera image in the video only shows one camera; we get lots so we can select the front view, the side views, a top-down view, and a 360 view that can be rotated. Lots of party tricks! But it comes at a cost. And it is so nice to drive.

I'd buy this if we got all the features they got in Australia. How they gonna give you guys rear heated seats and we don't get this in Canada anymore. The bloody Kona gets more features ffs.

@@Philip478 Wow, thanks for filling us in on all the additional features that the USA car does not get. This reminds me of what Toyota did when they came out with their Camry TRD (still a V6 back then). Here in the US they offered the attractive TRD exterior package, but took away several key interior features that they left intact in other high end Camrys. Somehow here in the US, " sport sedan " equates to offering less interior creature comforts, which I really don't understand ( I am excluding the German cars here ) Especially when they are fully offered in Australia and Canada. On another note, I'm really tired of all the trash talking about the Hyundai DCTs. I find mating the 2.5 T to the wet DCT a PERFECT pairing. Throttle response and shifts are FAST. I have a smile on my face so much of the time, when I drive this car, even short trips. Cheers !

Nice video. I would have bought this car if it had a LSD. Without it, it is just too much wasted power to the front wheels on windy roads. Ended up with Elantra N manual and obviously that car carves up the corners and is a riot to drive. But this car is way more premium when it comes to comfort and interior quality.
