critcism of rohit sharma is unfair,he has always been a aggresive batter but he also knows how to accumulate runs that's how he scored 5 100s in 2019 world cup, the problem is teams who have won the odi world cup recently like england or australia have a philosphy of going hard upfront and continuing with that pace all the way,you need that agressive intent to meet modern requirements of white ball cricket.rohit since 2022 changed his approach.he wanted his team to play like that .and that is how india is reaching finals of every icc tournament.he will not have the same impact if he changes his approach.india's middle order is struggling a bit purely due to lot changes.
England and Australia don't bat aggressively continuously in ODIs regardless of pitch conditions. What rubbish are you talking about? Australia did not bat aggressively im Ahmedabad in that Odi final especially after losing 3 early wickets. All this discussion about "Australian mindset" is pure BS! The fact of the matter is Virat and Rohit and the team were clueless about what is a competitive total for Australia to chase cuz the batters just did not give the bowlers enough runs to defend and 240 was too less a score to defend and they bowled us out. If India had scored 280 to 290, then you wouldn't be saying such nonsense about aggressive intent and what not! One can afford to slow down in a 50 over match if you are facing a tough pitch and just play out and defend agaisnt the tougher bowlers instead of attacking them and losing your wicket early. That's why we lost against Sri Lanka.
We cant under estimate indian team they have fabulous dynamic players in their team this could happen to any team the problem was they took everything too easy!!

VK now is an accumulator and not someone who can take the match away from you. He will get you runs just like Shreyas and Rahul.
