Here is my full odds shiny Pokémon compilation of 2021. Great year overall and for shiny hunting with 88 shinies found after 691,192 total encounters. Some amazing finds but some personal favorites would be the ones on the thumbnail and Gen 2 Heracross, Egg Feebas, Egg Ralts, and Emerald Torchic. Can't wait for what 2022 has in store!

These are the type of shiny reactions I like the most. Not those reactions that go along the lines of “ooooh, shiny ____, let’s goooooooo” but instead going absolutely nuts and screaming your vocal cords out. They’re hilarious lmao

I personally am the exact opposite I much prefer the more quite more relaxed shiny reactions because that's how I usually react to shiny and fits more with my personality and viewing preference

Fun fact: I got Shiny Latias in Pokémon SoulSilver from the Enigma Stone event without even trying to Shiny hunt it. I was just trying for a Modest nature, so first catch was not it so I reset. Second try defeated it by accident, then third try it was gold :)

They are but shadow pokemon by default are shiny locked so I had to unlock them. My XD ralts video talks about that more, but non shadow pokemon in XD can be hunted in the base game.

So I’m currently hunting deoxys in emerald and the game clock got to 999:59 a while ago during the hunt. Is it still possible to find the shiny or am I just wasting my time on something that’s not gonna be shiny?

@@brettrussell2577 As long as you do runaways and not soft resetting you are fine. Soft resetting Legendaries doesn't work in emerald because of the broken rng.

I dont understand people that scream their head off over a pokemon that is a different color, especially in the 6th gen and onward where shinies are easy as crap to find which makes them not as rare as in older games. It just makes ppl look like a fool in front of thousands of ppl

i mean, to help you understand, when someone is passionate about something, they can get excited to any degree necessary. the person themselves may also just be easily excitable. also, increased odds in the newer games doesn’t diminish the rarity in older games. gen5 and before is still 1/8192, and when someone finds a shiny in those games, any viewer with the knowledge of shiny hunting will be able to appreciate the effort put into the hunt.
