I don't actually use emulators (with that gengar hunt being an exception because of limited time) My setup is currently entirely made up of DS Phats with capture card and controller mod and I play physical cartridges! however yea I do copy Save files to save me some time playing through a bunch of times but I don't copy shinies (with the Leaf green DTQ as an exception aswell which are temporary copies, at the end i only keep one of each)

Playing a game upwards of 4 times just to set up for a shiny hunt is mad. Using the same file honestly saves so much time, and makes it better if you’re trying to have every shiny on the same OT#.

At the time i was using my 4 DS with capture card and controller mod along with 12 emulators, dont think I'll ever go back to that cuz it felt a little overkill for me. I just had limited time for that hunt for an event at the time and wanted to give myself a better chance (Still didn't get it though lmao)

Even though It wont effect me at all because I never transfer my shinies up I do recognise its going to be really unfortunate for a lot of people who do. They're burning the bridge between 3DS and Switch and I feel like they should've come up with an alternative. But thats Nintendo/Gamefreak for ya

I get what you're saying. However, we usually say that when we either get something super quick when we expected to hunt for a long time or it's because we have been hunting something for a long time and can't believe it's over. It's just disbelief an genuine surprise so it's a logical response to say something like "No way"
