We used Live Bait (minnows) for some of the most epic Redfish and Speckled Trout Action under a popping cork. The Popping Cork is one of the best saltwater fishing rigs! Watch the end of the video at 13:17 time mark where we show how to fish this super easy fishing rig.

Here is a description of what we used:
Popping Cork (bobber)
Size 1 Hook
15 lb leader line (3-4 ft below cork)
Bait: Gudgeon, or Minnow
Technique:
Cast it out and be patient. When you see the popping cork go under don't rip the hook set. Just give it a 2 second count to make sure the fish has the hook - then just reel down and let your rod bow up by driving the hook into the fish mouth.
Live Bait Fishing is Extremely Effective For Saltwater Fishing so if you just want to get on some action and have some fun - get yourself some live or fresh bait and replicate this bite. Here are other examples of Bait you can use for saltwater inshore fishing:
Shrimp (Probably the best)
Crab (cut into quarters)
Mullet or Finger Mullet
Pinfish
Spot
Cut Croaker or any other bait fish
Make sure if you catch your own bait that it's legal!
