I’ve found that society assumes black women will step in, caregiver, and fix wherever there is a need. Saying no is nothing to be ashamed of.

What an amazing platform! I’m based in the UK I’m struggling with so much and afraid my life which I’ve worked so hard to build is going to fall apart because of my mental health. I don’t know where to turn for help

IMO, Love is the power to affirm, validate, confirm and reassure. It is the accountability to be honest and trustworthy. It seeks to guide and move forward while holding one accountable for those those deed, actions and spoken words that don't represent wholeness and completion. Love represents well and covers the wounded, lost and misfitted until they are in right standing or restored.

This has truly filled and blessed my soul! Dr. Joy thank you for bringing together these beautiful women who shared openly and honestly. I needed this, so much of it I could relate to but I learned so much as well. I learned of you about 5 years ago through your conferences (Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome) shown on RU-vid. Your teachings on PTSS has enlightened and taught me so much. I was beyond happy to find your page on RU-vid and so very grateful for Wellness Wednesdays. Love for me is knowing the Definitions Of IN and Amen at this time in my life, I feel vunerable when I look at our people and none of us know the Alpha and Omega of the Bible that our Grandmothers gave us, now we, a lot of us turn away from the Book and never know who they are the Female and the Male.
