The blanket statement, that there is no large area of submerged crust in any of the world's oceans, in an attempt to discredit the Atlantis theory, has now been fully discredited by the recent discovery of the mostly sunken continent of Zealandia, of which New Zealand is just the small remnant that is still above sea level.
I'm from Montenegro. How on earth do we in MONTENEGRO which is on Adriatic coast, have myths about the Atlantida. Yes, in our language the land was called ATLANTIDA - ATLANTIDIA. It was roughly the size of Turkey, and it spread from Azores islands all the way north west through the mid of the Atlantic ridge. We also know that VASKONI people came from this sunken huge island. VASKONI - VASCONI - VASCONIA - BASKIA - BASQUE. THE Adriatic sea in these times stretched only to present day Dubrovnik, Croatia. North of it was not water but only fertile plains. One fragment of disintegrating commet hit somewhere in the KRONOS sea...The sea of Kronos was a name where Ionian sea connects with Adriatic sea.
Its even probable that humans were not the only ones building with megalithic stones.. it may have even been Neanderthal. I think its possible that Neanderthal may have been underestimated in terms of thier capacity for sophistication.
If one looks at the sunken terrain, just south of the large volcano in the Azores, one sees features that appear to match Plato's description of Atlantis. For instance: One can see a large rectangle, with what looks like a large ditch/canal on the northern side. That ditch/canal was desribed by Plato. The dimensions of that rectangle match, very closely, the dimensions given by Plato for the agricultural area of Atlantis. Across that rectangle, going from the North-east to the South-West are straight channels that are also said by Plato to be water filled canals that facilitated the movement of agricultural goods to the city. To the south-east of that rectangle, one can see an almost square valley, surrounded on 3 sides by mountains, with two outlets to the sea, one facing east and one facing west. On the eastern side of that square one can even see a portion of a circle that MAY have been the outer ring of the city of Atlantis. Oh...to be able to explore this underwater terrain which, unfortunately, is now under thousands of feet of ocean.
This whole hunter-gatherer thing reminds me of the time when I was out fishing for mackerel in my friend's small dinghy. We decided that we were getting bored of this and figured we'd land ashore, cut down some trees and built an ocean trawler.
14:29 thinking about the size of Atlantis, I got the same question someone asked me in some other clip and I answered, reminding that Plato /Solon were talking about the size of Atlantis's realm including size of their vassal kingdoms, which were supposedly both on the European and African side (like Spain and Morocco and some islands in Mediterranean like Sardinia) of the Atlantic, as well as on the American side (the side which was utterly obliterated by bombardment of the chunks of Laurentide icesheet, causing the famous Carolina bays). So there is pretty hard to find some evidence without digging unimaginatively deep (I mean like 50-100 feet, in which case you need to have some hunch where to dig, but the deeper it goes, the less cues we have). But yeah, if one wants to propose the size of some mythical empire like Atlantis which spanned from one continent to the other and included the ocean in between, isn't it very logical that the size included the sea as well? Because it means also the sphere of influence. If I was in Solon's shoes and was told about the concept of a "continent on the opposite side", I think I would also have hard time to explain it to my audience. What is nevertheless so extremely precious on his story is in my opinion not only the precise dating of it being sunk, but exactly his description of the string of islands between Gibraltar and say, Chesapeake bay, plus the concept of the "continent on the opposite side" of Atlantic ocean. Even Randall when talking about that misses the islands west of Azores, east of Chesapeake bay - these were making it easy to cross the Atlantic ocean (very well visible on the map behind Brad). The same of course supports the so called Solutrean hypothesis of Clovis people. Yes it also confirms that the culture on the eastern shores of North America was quite rudimentary (no knowledge of metallurgy as far as we can tell), but that one is baffling the archaeologists by the fact that the Clovis culture was only on the eastern US shores and missing on the western side. Easy to explain once you get the full picture of the island chain hopping possibility. So, we could talk about how could the Clovis evolve into Atlantis, correct? We have the Clovis points very often from the places where they were mined and made - i.e. volcanic outcrops with flint or obsidian. But what if they developed metallurgy later on, how many years there would be room for that, and would its evidence be found in the mountains like the spear tips? I think that most likely not. We need to dig deeper. The "room" I mentioned could easily be 1000 years, which is more than sufficient time for a culture development, especially if they had some contact with Mediterranean. Pity we don't have a single piece of evidence for it.
Don't have to go back to ray guns, and don't have to go to college and get a Ph.d to understand rise and fall of land masses from melting of ice sheets or rise of the ocean floors from the removal of millions of tons of water from growth of ice sheets either.

So, I was working on some math with circles rotating around each other and the discussion about the orbit of the Earth rotating around the sun came up. BUT THEN, the discussion about the Sidereal year came up. Does this get considered in any of the geometric/symbolic relations you discuss? If so, that would mean perspective from beyond the planet had been considered.
That final point is what makes me think that GH is on to something. What people are neglecting to see is that if there were land masses in the ocean, Atlantis mue lumoria etc. it would have affected the ocean currents in turn affecting the climate. Someone should produce a model of what that would look like? Just a thought
Does Athanasius Kircher’s world famous Atlantis map show the coast of America in Pre-Flood times? In other words, does it show the current coast of the Carolinas? Or does it actually show the now underwater, semi-continental shelf of America? Specifically, the rim of land whose peaks rise above the water between Puerto Rico and Trinidad. Where the Atlantic Plate crashed into the Caribbean Plate. Creating what we now call the Lesser Antilles. We tend to think that the east coast of America sits across the Atlantic from Spain. BUT, if one were to draw a straight line across the globe - from Spain through The Great Meteor Seamount and beyond - that line would not go to North America, it would go straight to the Lesser Antilles. We do not know if Kircher simply placed outliers on his copy of the map for reference, or if the outliers were on the original Egyptian map. This harkens back to an old legend, that once said that Athanasius Kircher, a founder of Egyptology, found a map in the Vatican. This ancient map was created in Egypt and brought to Italy by the Romans sometime around 30 BCE. Kircher made a copy of the map and published it circa 1664. We have all seen it. But what most do not see, is that Kircher’s Atlantis map appears to be a map of The Great Meteor Seamount. The problem is people think they are looking at a Continent, not an Island. This means the outliers on the map (Spain, America, etc.) are NOT in scale, they are merely location markers showing where the island sat in the ocean. Which is right where Plato said Atlantis was ~ in the Atlantic in front of the Pillars Of Hercules. Kircher’s coast of Spain is not very accurate compared to what we know today. So did he draw that coast himself, using sailor maps from the mid 1600’s? Or did he make an exact copy of the original Egyptian? This accuracy relates to the coast of America as well as the island itself. If Spain is inaccurate, Great Meteor and America may be inaccurate too. Or does Spain look incorrect because it shows a now underwater coastline? When we look at Great Meteor on a map today, we do not see the pre-diluvium coastline, we see all the way down. Still, Great Meteor does resemble Kircher’s Atlantis, though the 2 small islands sit in different positions when compared to current maps. Are they actually the 2 seamounts next to Great Meteor? Were those 2 islands on the original map? Or did Kircher place them there to match Plato’s story which tells of islands between Atlantis and the outlying continent? Of course, without the original map, we cannot know the answers to these questions, we can only ask them. But they are interesting to ponder. The Egyptians could not have made a map of something if it was always underwater. That The Great Meteor Seamount could be Atlantis is very simple. If a landmass currently underwater was mapped in ancient times, that means that it was once above water. And not just above water but right where Plato said Atlantis was ~ in front of the Pillars Of Hercules. It has been said that Plato’s Atlantis is supposed to be 5,000 kilometers from Athens. So sits The Great Meteor Seamount. Plato said, “10 islands for 10 kings”. As seen on Kircher’s map, Great Meteor has 2 small islands next to it. Today these seamounts are known as Little Meteor and Closs. If we count these 2, as well as Great Meteor itself - and the giant Azores mass - we have a total of 10 islands. The others being the seamounts named Hyeres, Irving, Cruiser, Tyro, Plato and of course… Atlantis.

My yoga guru, who taught us meditation, could see into the past, and on three occasions he commented on Atlantis. On the first he said that Atlantis really did exist, and so did Lemuria. He said that Atlantis was "beyond the Pillars of Hercules". On the second occasion a few of the advanced monks were present when he said that Atlantis was beyond the Iberian Peninsula. He said that if we wanted to find evidence of Atlantis we would have to dig off the north coast of Spain, but it would be very hard to get to, would be very expensive, and it would probably require the funding of the United Nations to do that dig. Then there was a time when my guru's personal assistant was visiting, and he said that our guru gave more details about the locaation of Atlantis. He was telling me that Baba said that Atlantis went as far north as the Faroe Islands, and as far south as..., and as far east as......, and as far west as ......, but I'm not good at geography, so I don't remember the totality of what he said at that time. The only one I remember is "as far north as the Faroe Islands".
There have been explorers looking around the Azores, but I've yet to see that anyone is looking off the north coast of Spain. My guru must have had some special reason for specifically mentioning that location.

This question has been investigated quite thoroughly by Alan Weisman in his book The World Without Us. How can we tell Whether Plato was being honest or possibly misinformed? Assuming Atlantis existed does not imply that it was the origin of civilization. A common belief is that Atlantis was a Utopian metropolis with diverse cultures and advanced technology that surpassed our own. The theory does not convince me that Atlantis is real. It is just a legend. The ancient petroglyphs of strange figures and symbols found in Wyoming, some dating back 11,000 years, closely resemble Australian cave art. Could this come from the same culture? Maybe.

The only region that makes sense to be Atlantis is the area of the modern Philippines to Malaysia that was above water. The Burkel crater has proven chevrons around the Indian Ocean and that impact could have triggered a massive earthquake swarm around the most earthquake-prone area of the world to subside the land and provided a tsunami large enough to engulf the continent sized land. It matches the description of being larger than Libya and Asia combined since Asia at that time was just Western Asia that Rome controlled at one time. The pillars of Hercules could have referred to Where the Gulf of Aiden meets the Red Sea in the direction of the Burkel crater would have created a massive massive tsunami through that straight that would have turned it into complete mud as described in the stories from Plato. The proven chevrons in Australia show the incredible size of the tidal wave that could have swept over the then continent size piece of land.

Let me reveal a few factors involved in Plato's story you are not recognizing is that there is a secondary story coded within the story and most references mentioned are meaning something else.
